Chapter two~ The Fight

Harry's POV:

I did it, I asked her and she's going with Malfoy! I wish I could just punch him or something! He makes me so angry! Soon after y/n left the classroom I felt tears burr up my eyes, I put on my invisibility cloak and went to my dorm. I crashed on my bed and before I knew it tears were covering my face. That night I cried myself to sleep and skipped my first class which is potions. I sit next to y/n in that class and I just couldn't see her. I knew eventually I would have to bump into her today but I didn't want to have to sit next to her for an hour. Of course she did nothing wrong, it's just Malfoy! I hate him so much. All my classes after potions don't have y/n in them so I just got ready and went to my other classes. I managed to keep away from y/n all day until lunch. I got my food and just as I was about to pick up my sandwich I felt a small person hug me from behind.

"I'm sorry please don't be sad, you weren't in class today and it seems you have been ignoring me all day!" She said

"Why would I be sad" I replied even though I felt so sad I could burst into tears

"You never ignore me, and I'm sorry for saying no but I couldn't reject Malfoy he is my best friend! You are my best friend also and seeing you like this is killing me!"

Then she walked to the slytherin table and sat next to that mean, stubborn, rude bully! I still don't understand why she would chose him over me! Maybe she thought she had to because she is slytherin, I don't know. I've had a crush on her since 2nd year, in fact I didn't have a crush on her........ I was in love with her. And to know that sooner or later Malfoy is gonna ask her to be his girlfriend is killing me.

Draco's POV

I noticed that Potter wasn't there when I went to get y/n from her potions class, weird but at least I don't have to worry about him! But he is in my transfigurations class which is my last class of the day. I noticed his eyes were a bit red but I ignored him. After classes ended I walked into y/n's dorm and sat on her bed she wasn't in her room so I figured she was in the library or something. About 10 minutes later she walked into her room..

"What are you doing here?"

"Just waiting for you."

           She looked gorgeous as always. I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend when she told me about what Potter did.

"He did WHAT?"

"Please don't hurt him he is one of my best friends-"

       Before I knew it I was running down the hall looking for Potter. I found him in the library I grabbed him by his tie and pulled him out to the hall, y/n followed behind me yelling something i don't really know I was too focused on punching Potter, suddenly without any control I just punched him. His nose started to bleed and I just didn't stop.  Finally the librarian came to the hall and broke us up. Harry didn't punch back, I don't know why but he didn't. 

   Your POV:

     Draco wouldn't stop punching Harry finally the librarian came and broke them up, she told me to take Harry to the hospital wing after a few steps I shouted.

"Have fun at the ball with someone else Malfoy"

     I took Harry to the hospital wing, he was okay so I took him to his dorm and hung out with him.

"I'm sorry Harry" I said as I ran over to give him a hug. It was too late for me to go back to my dorm so I slept in Harry's dorm with him. The next morning we walked to potions together and I sat next to him, Hermione, and Ron at lunch.

"Oh and Harry, I would love to go to the ball with you, if you still want me to of course"

"Of corse I do y/n"

       For the next few weeks he seemed so much happier and that made me happier.

          Now the Yule Ball is in only a week so Hermione and I went to Hogsmead together to get our dresses. Hermione's dress was a beautiful pink ruffled dress and mine was Black with silver rein stones on the bodice. I haven't talked to Draco since he beat up Harry but he was distant from everyone since then, he didn't insult Harry , Ron, or even Hermione when normally he would call her a mudblood at least once a day. I spent most of my time in the Gryffindor common room with Harry or Hermione. Some nights i slept in Harry's dorm. I was rarely in my own dorm or in the slytherin common room at all.
