i am not the protagonist of this story.

i am only a narrator. a medium so that i can finally reveal what happened to my friends the night of april 13, 2021.

it has been 15 years since then.

i should probably talk about how things got to where they are now.

it was the night of our graduation when juniper suggested the left/right game. we all heard of it before, a creepypasta or an urban legend on the internet that'll pop once on your feed then forget about the next day. our group of friends joked about doing it before, but i guess they were dead-set that night.

now, i wish i did something to dismiss the topic or suggest other things to do. anything but take away their minds from the left/right game.

i should've taken that chance when they were all shocked when she suggested it. some of us tried to laugh it off, but juniper kept pushing it and even some of my other friends thought it was a good idea. after all, it was just a "story."

if only we looked into it more. i just recently found out myself what lied deep under the naive disguise of the left/right game. strings of missing persons report. all of them saying that before they disappeared, they participated in a forum of the left/right game.

all of them found and hired guides that will lead them through the road. people that "knew" what they were doing. because if they really did know, then all of them should've came back in one piece, all together.

of the few that were able to come back from the tunnel, two things happened to them. either they were in a total catatonic state, or they were totally fine except for amnesia. accounts said that after those who lost their memory came back, they didn't have a single clue as to what happened prior to entering the tunnel.

about 300 people have gone missing and were connected to the left/right game. i didn't expect that my friends were going to join them.

we planned to leave a week after our graduation. they said to think of it as a final trip before we finally parted ways and pursued our own goals. a farewell.

apparently, palm and mina had already found a guide for us. this "guide" had helped people through the game multiple times and had a reputation that she always bring backed her clients safely.

i bet the other 300 people that went missing are punching the air when they heard of her.

i didn't know much about the guide herself. but as far as i have scoured the internet, she went missing too. so i guess you could say her reputation preceded her.

im sorry, i shouldn't joke about a missing person.

even with the hesitation at first, eventually we all became ecstatic as the days cam closer. we were like little kids excited for a field trip. it was a trip that none of us will forget.

most of us had owned cars even though we were still in high school, so we planned to go by groups. about three people in each car, depending on the size. we also packed food and tents, like we were going hiking or something. our group chat was filled with our excitement, talking about how we'll make so many unforgettable memories since it might have been our last chance together. in a way, they were right.

myself, i was hesitant. i had always been overthinking things, but something about the trip didn't sit right with me. like walking into a room and feeling that something was out of place but you just couldn't figure it out. a word you're trying to remember that's just at the tip of you're tongue.

i was driving home one night when a car suddenly came out from nowhere and crashed into me. it happened too fast. one second the road was empty, then a car blinked into existence in front of me. i couldn't see what kind it was, only the bright headlights then the crash itself.
