August POV
"Thank you, Atlanta, I love yall!" I screamed into the mic before making my way off stage and to the back.
Once I got to my dressing room, I tried Kay's number again since she wasn't picking up my phone calls but I got her voicemail again.
"Yo, Kay, whea you at? Call me." I left another voicemail, putting my phone down on the table and grabbing my bottle of water, drained as fuck.
I was about to go on tour with Ush and leave Kay by herself. I couldn't help but worry about some shit happening while I was away, especially with Lola and her bitch ass nigga riding us.
As I thought about talking to Travis to ask him to check up on Kay while I was gone, a knock came on the door. I expected a groupie who snuck past security to be there but to my surprise it was my mama.
"Hello, August," She said, walking in.
"Mama...what you doing here?" I asked, walking up to her.
"I came to see your show..." She said, looking away. "You had the crowd hype as hell."
I smiled a little. "Yeah. Thanks."
"I also came here to apologize," She sighed. "I know I was being unfair the other day and I'm sorry. Kalissa didn't deserve allat."
"It's cool, mama, you know it's always good between us," I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"No, August, it's not good," I heard her crying in my chest. "I lost one son and I'm not trying to lose anymore."
She sniffed, as tears slipped down her face. I sighed, pulling her in for another hug.
"You not, mama. Buleed that. I ain't going no whea. I love you more than anything in this world and the last I would want to do is leave you. But you gotta understand that I love Kalissa too and you have to respect that."
She nodded. "I know, I know. And I do respect that."
I smiled a little, rubbing her back. "I love you, mama."
"I love you too, August," She said, wiping her tears. Just then there was loud ass bang on the door, like the cops was on the other side.
"What the fuck?" I said, swinging the door open to see the promoters of the show standing there. "Oh wassup fam? Everything cool?"
"Hell nah. Ion appreciate you showing up 1 hour late to this show, Aug. When I give you a time, I expect you to be there at that time."
"Hol up, hol up, wassup with the disrespect fam? I already told you that it was my bad. The fuck else am I suppose to do about the shit?"
"Yo, don't be comin at us like it's our fault," Millz said. "Nigga you lost us a lot of money tonight."
"Well then it take out of my check then, cuz, if that's all the fuck yall broke niggas care about."
"Nigga you better watch your fucking mouth," Millz said as I walked out my room to talk to them in the hallway.
"Or what?" I asked, getting mad now. These niggas were testing my nerve.
"Mane, August, what's all this shit about?" My body guard and Travis walked up to the scene.
"These bitch ass niggas starting shit with me about being late," I said, pointing to the Millz and his nigga.
"Man, August, it ain't even worth it. Drop it. Lets go," Travis pulled me back.
"You right, you right, lets get the fuck outta here," I said, walking away until Millz bitch ass said something.
