Frank stood at the front entrance of the delivery room and was looking at the scene in front of him.
"Stephanie, walk away from him slowly," Frank said as he neared her with his hands up. A team of people with navy bullet proof vests, clear shields and large guns approached behind him.
Stephanie stared at Frank blankly, no expression present on her face. She lowered the axe and it hung loosely in her grip.
"What are you doing?" Vanny demanded angrily at Stephanie. "Oh, whatever. Useless I say! Fredbear, get rid of the junk will you." She snapped her fingers and the lights switched off, leaving everyone surrounded by darkness.
While Vanny swiftly attempted her escape she completely forgot William's ability to see in the dark. He grunted as he lifted his legs up.
"You're not getting away so easily, Princess," he hissed and kicked her shin. She yelped as she fell and rolled on the floor. The lights flickered back on again.
"Everyone surround her!" Frank yelled as the men with guns quickly formed a tight circle around Vanny to contain her. Frank however was more concerned on Stephanie.
The human mind is a very easy thing to break. Stephanie could be lost for all they knew. Frank took a step forward.
"Steph. It's me," he said with a smile. "It's Frank. Don't worry. We're going to fix you, whatever is wrong with you. I promise. Just drop the axe."
Stephanie didn't move. Frank was getting closer, but had to stop because she still had a weapon in her hand.
"Can you hear me?" He turned to William in frustration. "Afton, what's wrong with her?"
"She's been brainwashed," William answered tiredly, wincing in pain from the stunt he pulled off earlier.
"God, you look awful."
"Thanks."
"How do I get her to stop?"
William thought of something. It could work. The gears in his head turned quickly as he tried weighing their options. He accepted his solution.
"Shoot her," he said clearly without any hesitation or waver in his voice. Frank stared at him in horror.
"Are you mad?" he yelled.
"The intense pain would cause her to snap out of it, to ground herself back to reality. It doesn't need to be fatal. It just needs to hurt, like, really badly."
"How do you know it will work."
"We've done it before, now shoot her before she kills us all!"
Stephanie jumped suddenly and darted towards Frank with her axe high above her head. Frank rolled out of the way as Stephanie carelessly swung it around before it made contact with the floor, making a dent into the metal floor.
Her head snapped to Frank as she was hunched over, her glowing eyes shining. She pulled the axe from the ground and went in for another swing. She stopped at the loud bang! that rang through the room.
Stephanie dropped the axe and it fell loudly on the floor. Frank quickly slipped his gun back into his holster and stood up, expecting another attack. Blood dripped from the wound in Stephanie's forearm.
She blinked, then closed her eyes for a while. When she opened them, her eyes were their normal black-grey. She looked at her arm and then at Frank.
"Ow," she said slowly as she cupped her arm in her hand, taking in what just happened. "Ow!" she said louder. "That hurt!"
"Oh thank god you're back," Frank said with a shaky sigh of relief.
