"BEEP, BEEP" the yellow alarm clock went off, vibrating the little nightstand.
"Lynn honey, time to get up." my mother calls from downstairs.
I groan rolling over with your pillow over my head. After about five minutes of resting I decide to get up and walk to my bathroom. I stare at my reflection in the round mirror.
"Same old you." I mumble under my breath.
I had naturally highlighted brown/blonde hair and green eyes with a hint of blue occasionally. Everyone tells me I have a normal weight but I have never thought that. I've never really been happy with my appearance or weight but, I never let it show.
After I got dressed I padded down the stairs to the kitchen. I saw my mom grabbing her keys and lunch about to leave for work.
"Bye honey." She said as she kissed my forehead. "Love ya."
"Love you too." I replied.
"Oh, almost forgot your lunch is on the counter." She said her brown eyes lighting up.
"Ok bye mom." I said as I waved bye to her.
I sit down at the counter grabbing my bowl of cereal my mother nearly placed on the counter. I spooned some into my mouth as I texted my best friend ,Kennedy,. As I was eating the spoon slipped out of my hand spilling soggy cereal onto my black cami, nearly missing my red and blue flannel.
"Shit, that was close." I mumbled to myself.
After I was done with breakfast I slid on my white converse and grabbed my faded purple backpack. I headed out the door just as Kk was pulling up to the drive way. She was finally 16 1/2 and was able to drive with people who weren't family. I had already gotten this privilege back in June about two months ago.
I hopped into the gray Volvo and threw my bag in the backseat.
"Heyyy bestfriend." She smiled.
"Hola." I said as strapped my self in.
"So are you excited?" She asked.
"Excited for what?" I asked dumbfounded.
"SCHOOL, dumbass." she half yells giggling.
"Ohhh." I said understandingly. "No I am most certainly not." I stated.
"Bummer I really thought you were going to be ecstatic." She says sarcastically as we both laugh.
We pull up to a huge brick building. School, I read of a faded white sign in my head. More like hell hole I thought.
We hop out and say our goodbyes knowing we only have second and fourth period together. I hurried along to my fist class ,English. I pushed the heavy metal door open and sit the third row. I stare off into space waiting for the class to start until I was interrupted by the shaking of my desk. I turn my head slightly to see Cameron, a tall handsome boy I used to be really close to."Hey." He whispered.
"Hi." I replied softly.
"BRING, BRING!" The bell went off starting the first day of the very dreadful school.
