They woke up the next morning curled up in one bed, warmth radiating from their bodies snuggled together. It took them both a second to process what had happened and why they were in this position now. Oh, how they both wished they could stay there forever, in the comfort of each other's arms. Sunlight streamed in between the opened white curtains, giving the room a beautiful golden glow. Seagulls could be heard from outside, flying through the cloudless blue sky. The digital clock on the nightstand read 10:24 AM.
Kaminari smirked at Jirou. He softly murmured into her ear, "Sleep well?"
This caused her face to heat up, a dark blush appearing on her cheeks. "Shut u-up," She squeaked, flipping over and burying her red face into a pillow. Why the hell we end up here?
Kaminari chuckled, reaching over to the nightstand and grabbing his phone. There was a text from Kirishima.
Kirishima: bakugou and i are going to a sports game. its so manly!! meet u guys in front of the hotel at 12 pm for lunch?
Kaminari: ok
"We have like an hour and a half left until lunch," He said aloud, informing Jirou of their plans. "What do you wanna do until then?"
"I don't know," Jirou's muffled voice mumbled. "First we should eat a little, I guess. We didn't have breakfast." She rolled over, swiping her hand across the nightstand until she came in contact with her phone.
After getting dressed, the two of them headed down to the breakfast area of the hotel. Jirou noticed a waffle batter dispenser and stacks of cups beside it. Next to that was a shiny red waffle maker with a black iron interior. She took a cup and filled it with the batter before opening the waffle maker, pouring the battle in. It hit the surface with a light sizzling noise, a bit of smoke wafting out.
Kaminari decided on a bowl of cereal, so he grabbed a paper bowl from a stack and filled it with milk. Jirou watched in absolute horror as he poured the cereal into the bowl next, causing the milk to slosh around as the pieces hit the liquid. She opened her mouth to say something but no words came out.
Kaminari turned to face her, giving her baffled expression a confused glance in return. "Uh, you ok?" He asked before pointing to the waffle maker, which was smoking profusely. "Your waffle is burning."
Jirou snapped out of it, smacking him on the arm before opening the waffle maker. The waffle was a beautiful golden brown. She grabbed a pair of tongs that sat to one side and pulled it out, setting it down onto a paper plate.
"Hey, what did I do?" Kaminari asked accusingly.
"You idiot! You're supposed to put the cereal first," She grumbled, shaking her head in disapproval at his bowl of cereal.
"But it doesn't really matter, right? Either way, you end up with with a bowl of cereal!" Kaminari declared.
Jirou gave him a sad sigh as she squeezed syrup onto her waffle. "You're hopeless."
"I know I am," He said, giving her a lopsided grin.
The two of them sat down at an unoccupied table. There were only a few people in the dining area since it was fairly late in the morning. Breakfast hours ended at 11 AM, luckily, allowing them around half an hour of time at the most to finish their meal.
"What should we do after this?" Jirou asked, biting into her crisp, syrup-drizzled waffle.
Kaminari shrugged, spooning cereal into his mouth. "I was bout' to ask the same question."
She set her fork down and wiped her mouth with a napkin. "I was thinking, maybe we could take a walk and do something along the way. We've got around an hour of time left."
