                                                                           Niall's P.O.V

The waves danced hysterically over the ocean, turning all winds of hues-from bright yellow, to fuzzy red, to fuzzy orange, to fuzzy pink an finally sepia. Colours of the sunset filtered the waves.

I glanced over my shoulder to see the lads fooling around on the beach. The cool sand grappled beneath my feet. A light wind ruffled my locks. I could hear distant calls. I did not know it was for me.

"Niall, we need to talk with you dear," my mum tenderly asked.

"Umm, sure", I cogitated

I followed her into the beach-house. It still appalled me how fancy things in California are. I sat down on one of the plum couches. The air was awkward and VERY official.

"Niall, you remember the Millers'?" his father asked grimly.

"Uhh... kind of..." I trailed off.

"You know they have a daughter. She's a beautiful, talented young lady," his mother informed.

" Uhh... okay," I frowned. What an awkward situation!

"So, basically we had talked to her parents about something a long time ago. We had made a deal with them," his mother said anticipating his reaction.

" What deal?'' I asked, suspiciously.

'' We had agreed that if their first born child was a girl, she would be marrying you," dad said officially.

" But... why?" I asked, incredulously.

" They needed financial backup, they're very good friends with us. So that's why the deal was made." mom explained.

The sky fell on my head.
