Akira Hinata or soon to be Asahina is a bright child or should i say teen. Though 'his' looks and name says otherwise 'he' is actually a 'she'. This 17 and turning 18 by next year teenager is the adopted sister of Ema Hinata.
Their parents were friends but her parents died from a different death. She was found with Ema in the same house until they were found by Rintarou Hinata who then adopted them both.
Akira knew Rintarou wasn't her real father because he overheard Rintarou talking to a picture that has Ema's parents on it, though Rintarou doesn't know Akira knows. Akira being the bright child she is didn't let it affect recognizing Rintarou as her father as he raised them even though their not his real offspring.
This boyish girl is currently being mistaken as Ema's 'boyfriend' though she is a girl herself as she did arrive a few days after Ema did.
