There were soulmates in this world. Everyone had one and there was a way to show it. Some had the first sentences said to them on their wrist, some had their names somewhere on their body, some could body switch with them, inherit skills, and many more things.Marinette grew up without one showing up. She was the only one in her school without any sign of hers showing up. So she grew up with Chloe bullying her because of it. She didn't care because it was Chloe.
So a couple years later, she had gotten a best friend. She knew that Marinette didn't have a soulmate sign but didn't say anything. She had gotten her childhood friend and this girl together and they showed signs of being soulmates. She was excited about it.
When the first akuma happened and they defeated it, Tikki talked to Marinette about her soulmate.
"Marinette do you see signs of you having a soulmate?" Tikki asked. Marinette shook her head. Thirteen years and she couldn't find anything that could relate to a soulmate. "Okay that means that you're my true holder." Marinette looked confused at her. "Since you are my true holder, your soulmate bond will be different. When you meet them, you will automatically know everything about them like you have known them your whole life and you'll be comfortable with them automatically. Plus, they will be the perfect one for the black cat miraculous."
Marinette was happy now that she knew she had one. She couldn't tell anyone about it, so she kept quiet. Whenever Chat Noir said they were soulmates she would leave the conversation.
A year later, Lila came into the class and turned everyone against Marinette. She kept claiming that only a loser could have no soulmate, so they thought that she was right. So they made fun of her for it. It didn't hurt her because they were wrong.
In the middle of that year, Marinette got them a trip to Gotham because she wanted to see different places besides France. So they won it and they went. Lila kept saying that her soulmate was Damian Wayne and she kept getting praises for it.
When they got there, they had to get rid of jet lag and went on tours the first week they were there. The tours were just so that they could learn some things about Gotham before doing anything too extreme. They should consider themselves lucky that no rogues attacked them.
The next week, they had to go to school. It was something interesting and different.
-------
Lila, Alya, Nino, Adrien, and Marinette were assigned to the same classroom. Marinette hated it. Lila was happy because she could turn everyone against Marinette. Adrien just wanted Marinette not to cause a scene like she does in their school.
When they got to the class they introduced themselves to the class. The class automatically didn't like Lila and wanted to know Marinette since it seemed like she followed her.
"Marinette can you sit next to Damian Wayne? Damian raise your hand." The teacher said. (pretend the desk are like the ones in paris)
Damian raised his hand and looked at who was sitting next to him because he wasn't paying attention. Marinette looked at him to see who she was sitting with. The two met eyes with each other and they automatically knew who the other was and everything about them without having to think about it.
The teacher put the other four by someone, but no one was paying attention. They were all watching how the girl interacts with their ice prince. The group of four was paying attention to the two since that is what everyone else was doing.
Damian looked at Marinette and rolled his eyes. "Angel, you forgot a pencil, again." Damian told, handing her a pencil.
Marinette, who was searching her bag so that she could sketch, took the pencil. She thanked him and went to sketch inside her sketchbook. "Thanks, Dami."
Damian went to his reading, not acknowledging his peers looking at him and Marinette like they were out of their mind.
"How do you guys know each other?" Someone in the class said. Everyone just nodded along, agreeing with what they said.
Marinette didn't even spare them a glance, concentrating on her sketches. "We're soulmates."
Everyone just seemed speechless by what the girl had said. Marinette looked up and saw disbelief on their faces. She rolled up her sleeve and got Damian to do it too. The two put up their wrists, and on there was a yin yang symbol there.
"That's not possible. Damian is Lila's soulmate!" Alya yelled. Lila was paling more and more with every word Alya spoke. She knew just how powerful Damian was, and she was scared of the power he held .
Marinette rolled her eyes, and took out a bottle of water. She started to drink it and went down to where Lila was to 'inspect' the soulmate mark. When she got there, she 'accidentally' spilled her water on Lila. Alya glared at the girl and went to go get some tissues to clean up the mark, ignoring Lila's protest on letting it air dry. When Alya got done wiping off the water, there was a completely different name there. Alya, now understanding what had happened, started yelling at Lila about lying to her.
Marinette, ignoring them like she usually does, didn't pay any mind to her classmates. She stayed close the Damian the whole day and got introduced to Jon later in the day.
Bonus: {Months Later}
It was one of the days where everyone in the family were going to go out and do a patrol together. When they went to the batcave, they just stood there shocked, making sure they didn't see anything that was a prank.
Inside, there was Damian, in his Robin costume, kissing the girl who they were supposed to be helping with her Paris situation. The girl had on a ladybug costume, Ladybug. when they separated, they saw the rest of Damian's family. And they knew they would have to explain them being soulmates and their bond. Damnit.
