An Unusual Fight

A short view back to the past

Sunday, June 26, 2019,  Andre, a 21 years old young man, is on his way home from overseas with his motorcycle. In the afternoon around 4 o' clock pm, that is no longer hot and usually it is the schedule of young children playing together, when Andre is about to reach his parents' house around the outskirts of Bekasi, he pass his former high school, SMA N 14 Kota Bekasi, and immediately stop his journey. Because school is already off and the school gates are not locked, he parked his motorbike where he used to park it when he was still in school.  And he remembered that he had been involved in a fight, provoked by one of his seniors, whereas he himself was practically almost never involved in a fight even once before that incident. 

At the time, Thursday, November 3rd, 2016, in a crowded atmosphere because the recess bell rang, Andre was a eleventh grade of seniour high school student and he was about to go to canteen for just a snack, and he often went alone without one of his friends. And the problem is, to reach the canteen he has to go through several senior classes and there is no other way to get there, maybe for the teacher  it doesn't matter, but for juniors, the road is the same as passing through a graveyard. Because he was walking alone to the cafeteria, he was stopped by a senior with some followers who at that time was known for his naughtiness. Maybe he had been watched by that naughty senior for a long time, and only now  he was able to take his money.

That naughty senior was named Mahmud, but because he was famous for his stubbornness, he was often called "Lord Baron" by his gang and at the time he was social twelfth grade student. His height may not be much different from Andre's, but his body is quite fat and big, maybe that big body could crush someone who is skinny. And he should have been a collage student at that time, but still because of his naughtiness, he was not graduated to twelfth grade in June 2015,so he was a eleventh year student for 2 years. 

"Hey village boy! C'mon,give some of your money to me!" Mahmud snapped, and some of his followers went through all the pockets on Andre's uniform and found 15 thousand Rupiah, and Mahmud took 6 thousand from Andre. "OK,village boy ,you can go." said Mahmud while slightly kicking Andre's ass. And after a few days, Andre got and idea how to hide his pocket money, by putting it in his sock. 

So whenever Mahmud's gang wanted to catch him, he always lied if he didn't bring pocket money and Mahmud's follower never found the money on Andre's uniform. But one day on a dark cloudy Tuesday,November 26th , Andre was caught saving pocket money in socks by Mahmud himself, so that immediately raised Mahmud's anger, if all this time he felt cheated and he immediately went to Andre in the canteen without realizing it by Andre. Spontaneously, Mahmud grabbed Andre's collar with emotion "You have been lying to me all this time, and if you want to be free from me, give all of your money,NOW!!!", but Andre did not answer which means he refused. So Mahmud, with his hand still pulling Andre's collar, immediately took Andre out of the canteen, and he started kicking Andre, and the fights started.

Not satisfied, Mahmud pulled Andre back and put him against the wall and started punching Andre's body. But surprisingly, before Mahmud was about to punch Andre's face, Andre was able to withstand Mahmud's punch while saying "Don't underestimate patient people" and  immediately Andre hit Mahmud in the face, even reportedly experiencing a nosebleed and Andre had kicked Mahmud's stomach. Not wanting to be outdone by his junior, Mahmud immediately kicked Andre in the leg until he fell. The rain fell, the crowd got even more crowded and the fighting got even more intense as if they were watching a badass rainy fighting in the movie.Their fights were stopped when the teacher came to stop fighting after receiving reports that there was a fight from a juniour, and they were both taken to the BK room. 

And indirectly Andre won the fight because he had many witnesses before and during the fight. As the saying goes "Already fell, hit by the stairs", after experiencing a nosebleed due to Andre's hard punching, a few days later Mahmud got a dropout letter from school after doing many cases apart from last fight. After that incident, Andre received many respect from most of his friends  and from Mahmud's former followers. The fight was also trending around the school environment for almost 2 weeks.

Since that day, Andre never saw Mahmud again, even after Andre graduated and continued his studies to college. However, having been at school too long to reminisce, his clock is almost 6 o'clock, and Andre hurried back on his motorbike, started it, and headed back on the road to the house.
