"Huff, huff, huff."

*Where did it all go wrong...*

"Come on Max, This way!"

*My feet are just moving on their own at this point...*

"Come on! Just jump. You do this more than me and I was able to do it..."

*This morning was like any other...how did it get this bad...*

"Huff, huff, huff."

*It was all this...this morning... yeah it...it all happened this morning...*

Time skip to morning...

"MAXINE, EMILIA, LETS GET GOING YOUR DADS IN THE CAR!" Our mother screamed at us from the bottom of the stairs. Our birthday is today, and to celebrate, we get to be tested to see if we are insane or not.

"Come on Max! We got to go!"
"Yay...we get to see if we are deemed worthy of NOn InSAnITy!" I say in an annoyed sarcastic tone.
"Why are you being such a Debby-Downer, is this not the best moment of our lives!"
"No how could it! It's the day where you are basically put on trial, and you can't even fight for your fate! It's determined for you!"
"Well then.... don't think of it like that, think of it more as a test!"
"Yeah a test that you can't prepare for..." I said with a humph of disapproval. My loving sister Emelia stood there for a second. I could tell she was coming up with something to say or do, so as to not get trapped in it I decided to start heading downstairs. Before I could she grabbed my arm and whispered in my ear...
"Well in that case I guess we can fail it together"
I could tell she was joking as we both giggled afterwards.

We hopped into the car and went. Our parents were having a private conversation while we look out the windows. Me and Emilia are supposed to go to a sleepover after this with our friend Andrea who had passed her test around a month ago. It was 'Scary' because after she came back she said that one of the kids in the rooms next to her was declared an Insaner.
'The scariest thing was, he seemed like a totally normal boy. But after he was declared an Insaner he had escaped...' She had said to everyone. I on the other hand didn't think so. I mean it's only a kid. What is the worst he could do other than TP and egg a few houses.

The car came to a slow stop untill I heard the familiar sound of the gearshift being placed into parking.
"Alright kids! We're here!" Said our father as he got out of the driver's seat. I got out and slowly walked next to Emelia. She was grinning ear to ear while I just put on my cap and continued to walk in silence. Once inside we had to sit in the waiting room for five minutes. During that time my sister had looked through a teen magazine, not for herself, but for me due to the fact that my clothes were 'out of style'. Harsh and so not true in my opinion. Our names were called and we were taken through a metal gate that lead through a long hall. I had a habit of counting or keeping track of things when nervous. So dose Emilia as well. It's funny, people say even though twins look alike they are no where bear the same, but I find me and Emeilia to have the same habits, giggle or laugh, food, and movie. The only thing we do t have in common are what we enjoy doing. But that's never stopped us from being together. Nothing ever has.
*So far we have taken two right on left another right then two lefts...*
I can tell Emeilia is nervous as well because we both have started biting our nails and have been paying way more attention bro the white walls than we should have. The thing that worries me the most about all of this is...everyone I ask, who have taken the test, can not recall what goes on in it. After taking two more right turns and another left we reach two room directly across from each other. Two woman dressed as classic nurses are waiting and we are instructed to each follow one. I really didn't know what to expect, other than maybey a written test or a therapy type thing, but what did happen was not on the list. The second I walk in all I see is a bed, a chair, and glass which I assume is double sided with a view of the room on the other side. I am instructed to sit in the chair, look forward, and wait. I sit there for a few seconds and behind me I hear the door open, a small exchange of quiet whispers, and a cart being moved. I can hear the classic dressed nurse, fiddling with items on the cart. I'm given pills to swallow and needle stuck in my arm for a second. The final thing I see...well...that would be a hand with a cloth and then pitch black darkness.
