[Trigger warning: Mention of self harm.

The below mentioned story is a work of fiction and holds no truth]One cut, two cut. None of it was ever enough.
It would've been a horrific scene for another person but there was no one else there, only him and his inner monster.
He wanted nothing more than just to love himself the way he was. But at this point it didn't even matter as the knife dug a bit deeper every time, making him feel the numbness of his skin and the numbness of his soul.
It hurt. But it never hurt as much as he was hurting inside.

Jeonghan was a bubbly young boy with particular interests, he was also quite the perfectionist (he kept the boundaries till himself though).
Long sleeved, baggy clothes and sharp knifes were regular for him.
People knew him as the 'life of the party' and loved him dearly.
Then how come he couldn't love himself the way other people did?
---------------------------------------------------------
Jisoo was walking through the halls of his new school, completely confused.
Jeonghan, who was also present in the hallway noticed his troubled expression and decided to approach him.
"Hey, you new here?" Asked Jeonghan.
Jisoo replied "Uh, yeah. I actually needed help with the direction-"
"Say no more!" Replied Jeonghan.
"Thanks." Jisoo replied, smiling softly.
So, Jeonghan helped him with the directions. The interactions definitely blossomed some attractions. They soon became really good friends. Almost inseparable.

Jeonghan was in the washroom again, yep you guessed it. He was cutting himself again.
He heard a jingle on the door of his house which alarmed him. But then he realised that Jisoo had the keys to his place and he relaxed.
Wait... He's entering his house, he can't see him in this situation!Jeonghan panicked, dropped the blade in the sink, quickly washed off his blood and dried his hands on a towel. He then ran out of the washroom and saw Jisoo sitting on his couch.
"Oh h-hey watcha doing here?" Asked Jeonghan, trying to hide his nervousness but Jisoo noticed nevertheless.
"I thought we could spend some time together because I was bored. Actually, let's watch some movies!" Jisoo exclaimed.
"Uh, yep sure. I'll go get some snacks!" Jeonghan said.
"Ok! While you do that I'll go visit the washroom first." Jisoo said but Jeonghan was in the kitchen so he hardly heard him.
Jisoo took out his phone and put it on the table, then proceeded his way to the washroom.
As he walked into the washroom. The first thing he noticed was the metallic, bloody smell in the air, then he saw something red on the sink and made his way there.
He was horrified when he saw a blade with poorly washed off blood and a bloody towel there.
He slowly exited the washroom and tried to act as if he didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
He sat on the couch beside Jeonghan.
"Oh you're here, I chose the movie already if you don't mind." Exclaimed Jeonghan.
"Yeah, I don't mind at all." Jisoo said. Jisoo would've definitely minded if he hadn't just encountered that terrible scene from earlier.
The movie progressed and so did Jisoo's curiosity.
"Uh hey Jeonghan, can you pass me my phone. It's on the table." Jisoo said cautiously.
"Yep, sure." Jeonghan reached out to the table so he could grab Jisoo's phone but Jeonghan didn't notice his sleeve pulling up while in the action.
What the-
About a dozen cuts were displayed on his arm.
Jisoo quickly grabbed Jeonghans hand and pulled up his sleeve. He then asked the obvious question.
"W-what is t-this?!" Jisoo asked, slightly panicking but trying to regain his posture.
"I-i--" Jeonghan couldn't hold it back anymore and burst out in tears. Every loud sob representing his depressed state.
Jisoo embraced the downhearted boy in his arms and patted his back in the hopes of comforting him.
"You need to go to the psychiatrist." Jisoo said, feeling saddened.
Jeonghan responded, "I don't want t-"
"No, I'm not falling for it. You are going to the psychiatrist and that's final!" Jisoo said with finality.
"F-fine." Jeonghan gave up trying to convince Jisoo otherwise and agreed.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, I'll be there by your side throughout the whole thing."
And Jisoo stuck by his promise and stayed by his side.
Jeonghan was kept in the hospital for quite a while and after a lot of hard work, Jeonghan finally recovered and got discharged. Jisoo was very excited. Jeonghan requested Jisoo to stay with him for atleast a few days and Jisoo couldn't say no.

The blade slit against his skin and blood started oozing out. Red everywhere.
Jeonghan washed off his blade carefully and washed his hand along with the sink. He then hid the bloody towel, bandaged his wrist and pulled down his sleeve.
As Jeonghan walked into the living room he saw Jisoo watching the television.
"Whatcha watching Jisoo?" Jeonghan interrogated.
"Oh, I'm watching 'Boys Over Flowers', come sit down" Jisoo said, patting the space beside him.
"Yeah" Jeonghan replied.
