"I'm telling the truth, officer! A girl walked out in front of me!" Brandon complained to the cop as he tried to explain the reason why his car was rammed into a big oak tree.
"Sure, Brandon. How many times are you going to wreck your vehicle in a single year! You should be happy I don't just take your license." The cop rolled his eyes, not buying Brandon's stupid excuse. Brandon looked down in guilt.
"Whatever. Now, where's the tow truck?" Brandon looked down the dark road, hoping to see the tow truck coming.
"Calm down. It's coming and as soon as it dislodges your piece of crap car from the poor tree there, I'll drive you back to the police station. I can tell you're wasted just from your argument. It's twelve in the morning and you saw a little girl that is nowhere to be seen." The officer chuckled to himself. The tow truck pulled around the corner of the road with its high beams on. Relief overcame Brandon.
"Finally!" He exclaimed. The truck pulled up to the scene as the hillbilly driver rolled down the passenger window and screamed out to them in his trailer-park accent.
"You peoples call AmericanKings Tow Company?" The hillbilly said, tossing his cigarette butt out the window.
"Yes, sir. We did call you," The cop replied to the hillbilly.
"Great ah! I Jimmy! Nice to meet cha fine fellas." The hillbilly, Jimmy, smiled with his rotting teeth fully exposed. "O-key just clear me sum area so I can get the junk out." The cop nodded and both Brandon and the cop moved out of the way as the truck backed up, inching closer to Brandon's wrecked car.
"Be careful with her! She's just a baby! Oh! Jennifer! I'm sorry I wrecked you this bad!" Brandon pleaded in agony as Jimmy got out of the truck and started hooking the car up to the pulley.
"This car is already wrecked. Not many more damage I can do to it, son." Jimmy laughed, walking back to the driver's seat of the truck as he stroked his ginger beard. Brandon whimpered as he watched the truck pull his car from the tree by its back bumper. "And out she goes!" Jimmy laughed as he drove the truck up to the patrol car that belonged to the cop. "Now where am I taking she?" Jimmy asked. The cop started walking to the driver's seat of the police car.
"Take it for repair, Jimmy. Brandon, here, will pick it up once it's in running shape." The cop got into the police vehicle along with Brandon.
"Ey, Policeman, the engine on her is destroyed for sure. She might not run." Jimmy broke the bad news.
"Noooo, Jennifer!" Brandon cried from the passenger seat of the police car.
"I see what I can do for it though. Just remember the work, so you can pick up the car. It's AmericanKings." Then the tow truck was off, dragging Brandon's pride and joy away. Brandon watched in despair as the cop started to drive back towards the town where the police station was.
After thirty minutes of driving in silence, they arrived at the police station. They both got out and sat at the officer's desk inside.
"So, Brandon. Explain yourself correctly before I suspend your license for driving under the influence." The officer sat back in his desk chair, getting comfy as he pulled out a file that was frequently open. "Brandon... Twenty-nine counts of reckless driving. Nineteen counts of harassment towards your ex-wife, Caroline. Jesus, you're a mess, Brandon! There are even four cases of illegal marijuana use! How the hell did you even get your hands on that!"
"Sorry, sir." Brandon took his seat across from the police officer. "Okay, let me explain myself! You see, I was driving to the next town over." Brandon started.
