What do you think of our new home, Itachi?.”

Mikoto asked her eldest son as she watch her husband hand him a box to carry inside, the said son shrugged not bothering his lack of interest.

“It’s good,” he answered and adjust the box in his grip and went inside, and dropped it loudly not caring if he startled his brother.

Sasuke just sent him a dirty look and continue pushing the boxes to the corner, saving as many spaces as he could, the older Uchiha went back outside to carry another box when he saw a familiar face.

“ … Oh! Itachi-san is that really you?.” Iruka wondered out loud, and walked faster towards him, Itachi straighten his posture as he waited for his former teacher, he just silently greeted him with a slight nod.

“Iruka-sensei,” he muttered and offered a handshake, which the older man accepted, “You’ve grown taller than the last time I saw you!.” Iruka said while reminiscing an image of an adolescent Itachi.

“Hn,” Itachi grunted, not knowing what to answer as he was not much of a talker, “Iruka-san?.” The Uchiha mistress, her voice slightly high-pitched and eyes went wide as he recognized the once Academy Teacher.

“Oh it’s really you! I would want to invite you for a tea but, –” she motion to the large boxes and her husband counting them, making sure they were complete.

“We’re kind of busy,” she said, as Iruka just chuckled and waved his hand absently – “It’s okay, Uchiha-san … I’m actually kind of in a hurry right now, I might miss the bus,” the brunette excused.

“Do you still attend school?,” Iruka asked Itachi and immediately apologize as Itachi looked offended – Do I really look that old? Itachi wondered, and took of his glasses. “College.”

“Did you already enrolled then?.” He asked, and replied with a silent no as he mentally noted that he would enroll two – wait, “How about Sasuke?.” Iruka added, “College,” Itachi absently answered and absently tuck a strand of his hair into his right ear.

“Perfect! I’m so sorry to cut this short but I’m really going to miss the bus if I don’t go now.”

Both Uchihas said their farewells as they watch Iruka slowly walk away, – “Why didn’t you invite him inside?, ” Fugaku asked, suddenly on his wife’s side, knowing her, she would never make any guest leave without offering something but she wouldn’t also allow anyone step inside the house without it being thoroughly cleaned and organized, “The house is still a mess – we could invite him another time. But for now, do your work faster because too much sun is not good for my skin!. ” she exclaimed and wrapped the scarf around her shoulders tighter, and hightailed it out of there and back to the van.

Eventually, she got impatient and ordered her husband to just hire someone to help them, and Fugaku didn’t had to be told twice.

Not even ten minutes later a group of bulky men arrived in a scrawny van – though the Uchihas looked skeptical. No one voice their complain and let them do their work.

Itachi just shrugged them off and walked upstairs – as the loud click of his shoes rang through the silent hallway, a medium sized box was tightly secured in his arms, and this was the eight box he carried to his room (he still had to go back for the last two).

You have more shit than anyone else I have ever known.” he swear he heard his voice so loud and clear, Itachi just shook his head, is he really that tired that his mind is already playing tricks with him?.

He then slightly kicked the door open and basically throw the box to the other boxes that was already lined on his floor, Itachi scowled. He never really considered himself materialistic, because he held no attachment to most of his physical belongings, except for maybe his clothing. But it was true that somehow he had ended up with an inordinate amount of stuff. Especially in comparison to his little brother (who only had atleast four or five small boxes), who seemed to be content basically living out of a suitcase.
