"There under the mango tree, a lot of things happened there. You're grandpa and I used to sit there and-" Summer's grandma was interrupted when she whined out loud the words "Lala you've told this story for about a hundred times already. I'm already sixteen I almost memorized it."
Her grandma was taken a back but she snapped back and stated the words "Then say it."
"You and papa we're once lovers who used to sit under that mango tree" she paused and pointed at the big tree at the back of their house.
"Then the both of you would always help each other with your assignments and you'll tell papa stories about how you'd always get beaten up since you we're a naughty teenager back then." She chuckled lowly as her grandma looked at her irritatingly.
"You st*pid kid!" Her grandma shouted at Summer as she abruptly chased her.
"Just like the good old days" Summer's mother emphasised as she entered the room and looked at the both of them endearingly.
"LET'S EAT!" Her mother shouted and the both of them looked at her as she gestured for them to come.
-
"Mom I'm going to the mall" She shouted as she struggled to put her shoes on. When she successfuly did that she shouted again the words "Do you need anything?" Which she replied with a simple no.
"Take care" Her grandma told her as she kissed her cheeks and walked inside her car.
She carefully drove off only to be stucked in traffic with lots of honking and noise. Luckily she got passed by it and soon entered the parking lot of a mall.
"I'm here" she shouted as she got of the car, there she saw a handsome man looking at her weirdly. His look intensifies as the both of them had an eye contact, suddenly it's so akward.
She broke the eye contact and got her things from the car as her cheeks flushed light shades of pink out of embarrassment.
She looked down as she passed by him only to be interpreted with a "hey" from the man. She looked back at him with a questioning look.
"Uhmm you dropped your purse" The Man stuttered as he lightly waved the purse.
"Thank you, I guess?" She simply answered while flashing a small yet genuine smile.
She entered inside wandering what just happened earlier.
"Ma'am you can move now." The guard confusingly looked at her as she can't help but smile in akwardness.
"Now where to go?" She hummed lowly to herself while walking around the mall. Then she saw a jewelry shop filled with shimmering necklaces, shining eatings and gleaming rings
"How much is this?" She asked the staff as she pointed at a beautiful crescent shaped necklace shining vigorously as the light hit it.
"2,500 pesos ma'am" The lady spoke with such eagerness in it that summer accepted it.
"Don't put it in the box I'll wear it" she stated and tried to wear it, but she seem to can't tie the hook at the back of her neck.
"Ma'am I'll help-" The sales lady was cut off when a man urge to tie the hook of the necklace.
Summer was beyond shocked she looked behind her back and saw a man towering over her
"Hi! I guess?" He spoke with such shyness and awkwardness that she can't get help but smile.
"Thanks." She murmured before grabbing herself up and going downstairs to the food court.
Upon checking out the food shops scattered around the place, she saw a bakeshop. It looked distinct in her own perspective, with it's vintage posters and vintage clocks and music yet still having that vibe of being modern with it's monochromatic colors of gray and white.
The sound of bell chiming and the aroma of coffee beans being freshly made welcomed her.
"Uhmm... I would like to order a-" When she looked up to the man she saw the same man that followed her earlier.
"That! I guess?" She stuttered and pointed at the menu written above.
"Here's the paym-" She was again interrupted when he said " I'll pay for it".
Then she took a seat and closely observed the place, the tables were in early arranged with it's circular shapes and seats that we're minimalistically.
"Here's your order!" The man suddenly popped out of nowhere. As he puts her drinks and snacks, he suddenly stated "Can I sit with you?" Which to she replied with an "Of course" and gestured for him to sit infront of her.
Suddenly she heard two women whispering in a nearby table, she accidentally or maybe not, heard them.
"I told you she does have a boyfriend"
"Maybe it's just her friend"
''No! Look I think they're gonna kiss or something"
She looked weirdly at them and there she saw her grandma and mother bickering to themselves about a certain topic.
"Hi!" She looked at them and gave them an awkward smile
