Earning Her Trust Back

Part 6

Since only one person voted....We'll do the trial

Three Weeks Later:

The Louds were heading downstairs ready to eat their last good meal for the next couple of days. You see, today was the start of their trial and they knew that things won't end well for them. Especially since Lisa and Lincoln are most likely going to testify against them. 

"Hurry up and eat girls. We have a big day to look forward to." Lynn Sr. Said. He was trying to put on a brave face for his wife and children. He wasn't looking forward for the trial since there was a high chance that they were going to lose. Sighing...he looked at his wife who was busy picking at the food that he set in front of her. He knew that losing Lisa, Lincoln and Lily was hard on her and wanted so badly to tell her that things will be okay for them. But doing so would just be lying to her at this point in time. 

"Honey, you need to eat something." He said which cause his wife to jump a bit for eating her food slowly. After they finished, they all started to dress nicely and drive their way towards the court house which was already packed with newscastors and spectators. Something that made all of them nervous since the whole world was going to be watching them. 

"Okay. Now girls, once we get out there...don't talk to any of them and just say no comment." Lynn Sr. Said as the family stepped out and walked towards the courthouse. The reporters instantly recognized them and tried to get an interview and everyone declined (even Lola who was dragged away before she could answer). Once inside..they were greeted by their lawyer who didn't seem thrilled to represent them. Not like they can blame him considering that circumstances.

"Let's get this over with." He said before he lead them to the courtroom. They were all seated behind the defense table and were ready to at least get a lighter sentence. But were taken aback by Leni gasping.

"Leni, Is everything okay?" Lori asked.

"Guys, I see Lincoln, Lisa and Lily." She said which caused all of their eyes to widen. They haven't been able to speak to them after this entire situation went down. And had no idea if how each of them were doing.

"Where?" Luna asked before Leni pointed to the prosecutors table where one of their youngest sisters and their brother sat. There little sister was right behind them on another woman's lap which irked Rita. That was her baby yet this...stranger is holding her. She wanted to march over there and give that woman..a piece of her mind, but knew that she couldn't. It would only damage their reputations more and destroy any type of sympathy (if there was any) that they could gain from the jurors. 

"All rise for the Judge." The bailiff yelled before a thirty year old woman with black hair walked into the room.  Signaling the start of the Louds fight for a lesser sentence.
