𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒔 ~ 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 (𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘤)

Beatrice Walburga Black has lead an insanely, almost boringly normal life, except for the beginning, of course. Beatrice was raised by her Father's cousin: Andromeda Tonks.

Andromeda was easily swayed into caring for Beatrice, seeing as Bea was a wee little four year old who was just in want of an average childhood.

Obviously, in a family like the Blacks, there's no such thing.

Bea had a father whose face was blurry and slurred in her memory, but she remembered the way he sculpted and influenced her emotions as if he were sitting right next to her.

Beatrice's Aunt didn't know much of Bea's father, other than his name; Regulus Arcturus Black.

Now and again Bea gets glimpses into her past inside of her dreams. He is hazy, yet clearly handsome. He had short cropped black hair, but it was thick and wavy as if it had all the space in the world to be so. His soft brown eyes paired and complimented the olive tone that his skin possessed. In fact, his eyes were such a powerful hue that they'd be cool as stone in his disciplinary actions, but as soft as a cloud in affectionate ones. (*1)

There was a darker side to her father though. Everyone knows that Slytherins are cunning and are gifted at hiding and manipulating, so it was only fitting for this one to be just as talented. The only difference is that some Slytherins (especially the Black family) don't feel remorse or regret, but this was something that often showed itself in Regulus's face. He was hiding something, and it wasn't something trivial.

Andromeda Tonks had run away from her family to be with a muggle. She was officially shunned from the Black family, but you really cannot stop love. She was willing to do everything in her power to be with Ted Tonks. Bea always wished her father had this sort of end all be all love for her, but she was always conscious of the fact that eventually someone would feel this for her.

Beatrice always thought her father would walk to the end of the Earth for her, but he left her to her unwitting Aunt.

                                          - 1991 -

"Dora get back here!" Andromeda called, leading Bea through the cramped streets of Diagon Alley.

"Sorry Mum! Wotcher, Eliza!" shrieked Tonks as she spotted her Seventh Year friend.

Andromeda shook her head with a loving smile etched onto her face.

"Are you ready for your first year?" Ted Tonks asked from behind the two.

Bea turned to face him. "No, not really," she chuckled.

"You're going to be great. What house do you think you'll be sorted into?" Andromeda turned her glowing smile down upon Bea. "Slytherin? Like your father and I? Or Hufflepuff like Dora? It'll probably be Slytherin, seeing as you were born and raised by us."

"I think she'll be sorted into whatever the hat sorts her into," Ted soothed, understanding Beatrice's anxiety.

"Fair enough," conceded Andromeda. "Come, come. Let's get you squared away." At this, Beatrice nodded. "What shall we do first? Get your wand?"

"Yes! I'm excited to finally get my first wand!" declared Beatrice, causing the two Tonks to beam down at her.

"Alright! Wand it is then!" Ted exclaimed, venturing over to Ollivander's.
