sending me into sudden darkness
I wait for the sun in the endless rain
A dozen flies swarming a horse's face
I push a rock up an endless hill
Never-ending, never letting up
A red-hot flame inside
stoked by splintered planks deep within
Lily's wilting petals
melting wax in a burning candle
Drifting dreams of leaves
blown away in the wind
The perfect angels falling from heaven
