Chapter Twenty

Shougo was about to enter the room to observe the tests performed on Yume when he heard yelling.
"What's happening?" He demanded to the serious looking lady who was guiding him. She just shook her head and bowed. Shougo clicked his tongue and marched in to find dead bodies everywhere.
"Ahhhh! Help!" One scientist screamed as his head went flying across the room and landed right in front of Shougo. Swallowing down the vomit he looked at the culprit. Standing in the middle of the room with a vacant look on her face was Yume. She was mercilessly slicing everyone who tried to stop her or run away. Shougo quickly closed the doors again and locked them. He couldn't have Yume escaping like that, she'd kill everyone.

Without a second thought he ran through the maze like building locking doors after him, trapping panicking scientists behind them. He ran into the security room and started typing on the computer and managed to activate the special security system which closed the whole building off with metal shutters. Before he was closed in he ran out the room and jumped from the nearest window. Luckily he was only on the second floor and there was a tree there to break his fall, however, he still mostly likely broke his left ankle from the way he landed.
"Yui..." he mumbled. As he hobbled as fast as he could to where his sister was waiting for him at home. He had no doubt that the effort he'd put in to stop Yume would only delay her a little while but during that time he'd put all his effort into letting Yui escape somewhere safe.

"Aha.... ahahahahahaha..... ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!" The crazed laugh was all Lala could hear as she covered her ears.
"Stop! Stop it!" She yelled.
"Lala? Are you okay?" Mirei wondered. Suddenly Lala's chest felt like it was burning and her heart felt like it would explode, she clawed at her chest in pain.
"Stop.... it..." she mumbled before passing out.
"Lala! Lala!" Mirei knelt down and shook Lala slightly and checked she was still breathing. A giant explosion made Mirei look up to see an old factory on fire. "Wha-" she was cut off by another larger explosion and flames rushing towards her.

Lala awoke to find the world frozen.

"Mirei!" Lala waved her hands in front of her friends face who was trying to protect her from the flames that were inches away. "Times completely stopped," is the conclusion Lala came to until she heard approaching footsteps.
"Aha! Ahahahahah! Ahahahahahahahahaah!" The same laugh Lala heard earlier could be heard and Lala shivered at the disturbing feeling she got. Standing in front of Lala now was a familiar figure she never thought she'd see again. "Ehhhh?"
"Y-Yume.....?" Lala mumbled slightly as she reached up, only to be sent flying back by an invisible force. The eerie laughter rang out again and Lala realised it was coming from Yume.
"Die. Die. Die. Die. Die. Die. Die." She repeated said as buildings were torn up and explosions were everywhere. All Lala could do was watch as the pain in her chest was back and ever worse.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Screamed out as she twisted in pain. "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" It calmed down for a second before coming back even worse. "Stop! Make it stop!" She cried out with tear running down her face. Her eyes were bloodshot and during this time was changing in between being frozen and resuming. The pain worsened when Lala witnessed Mirei get blown away right in front of her along with hundreds of others. All of her friends were most likely included on the list of casualties along with her family. "Noooooo!! Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!" Eventually, things began to gradually disappear and crumble away.

Once most of the surrounding area had disappeared Lala stopped moving. Her body stood up as if she was in a trance. Yume somehow was fine and just stared at Lala.

And then there was a big flash as the earth crumble away.

And then Lala woke up.
