The Armor

Chapter 6

The last thing I remembered I was in my Room talking  to my parents about the weird changes in my body and yet.......why am I here ? This date it has gotta be a mistake or maybe I'm just dreaming. That's what I wanted to believe, but I knew I couldn't lie to myself. not when the Evidence that I've been asleep for years is right in front of me.

Looking across where the land and sky seems to meet I sighed. I squinted a bit as the rays of the sun crept along my eyelids. My feet were burried by the sand so it made moving around a bit difficult, there was no sign of life  anywhere even if there was, I doubt anything or anyone could survive This insane Heat. The only reason why I'm even alive right now, is maybe because I'm different different how exactly? That's when I Heard voices, it was faint but I knew right away who those voices belong to.

"Justina sweetie, come back to us"

"Mom?....Dad?"

"Come on kiddo follow our voices"

It felt as if I could reach out and touch them, I would give anything to see them right now.........my family.there was a sudden light blinding me for a second then slowly everything came into focus.

"Justina sweetie,  we are here right here" she whispered as she caressed my cheek"it's okay, you'll be fine mommy's got you"

"Mom? Is that really you?"

At first I thought maybe this is some sick joke, or maybe a mirage. I couldn't really tell what was fake or what was real anymore, I mean after what happened earlier could you blame me for thinking this way? My bed and door was broken in half, just as it was before couple hours or....god knows for how long.

"Hey kiddo, breathe your mind seems to be all over the place." Said dad placing his hand on my shoulder.

" Mom, Dad,what happened how am I even here?" My voice was a bit hoarse as I shift attention to My parents.

"Sweetie...you were always here you never left it's just....you froze up you were"she took in a long breath she looked at Dad. her eyes saying I think it's time,but time for what?

"Justina....you see you are different from other girls....well different from other people to be Exact. And well remember when we always called you our miracle child? You are a miracle.....

"What your mom, means kiddo is that you aren't human"

It was confirmed that I wasn't human which means, blue was always right and given the strange events that have occurred recently. It all made sense. But some part of me wished it wasn't true,being different wasn't even a problem no,what made me sad was the Fact that I'm not their child. all those bonds we made through these past years......

"Then let me guess mom.....i'm from another planet ?"there was silence for a bit.

"Sweetie we wanted to tell you sooner but, as we watched  you grew we wanted to raise you as a human but the more you grew  your Abilities started to manifest themselves so we knew it would be hard."

She sighed running her hand through my hair "we never wanted to hide you from who are, or your destiny we promised your parents we would take care of you and that,we will continue to do"

"No matter what you are still our daughter, nothings changed except....your hair is glowing" dad chimed in. My hair was glowing whatever light seemed to be in the room all seemed dim now. Mom and dad stared at my hair no words being said. Having a glowing hair might be cool and all, but what happens when I lose control I won't know what to do and the only person who can teach me this is Blue, Tanesh or what ever her name is i can't believe I'm even considering her to help me. do I have a choice though? just the thought makes me wanna punch something. Slowly the glow from my hair dies down.

With one look I could tell what mom was thinking,right about now she's gonna probably ask how will I sleep. and that I should sleep on The bunk bed since I destroyed my original, but to be honest I didn't feel like sleeping well who knows maybe this time if I sleep I'll really sleep out my years as a teenager.

"Mom, dad I'll be fine you two go on I'm not sleepy"

A kiss on my forehead from mom, followed by a hug from dad.Being The loving parents they are this was to be expected The feeling inside me it felt,I felt.....like a child again mom gave me one last glance before walking with Dad downstairs. Man I swear they will be the death of me, onto more important matters I was more focused on the person who was cloaked in the dark right now.

"You can come out now"

A soft yet menacing voice Echoed across the room with laughter.

"Xephena, you should have known you wouldn't get rid of me that easily, seriously you were gonna call NASA? oh please,I could have taken those guys  with my eyes closed....Facts" she revealed herself into the light. Wait aren't those my Pjs? Atleast she's not naked but still.

"Besides you know, you are gonna need my help I'm your gaurdian and I promised to watch over you and be a big sister to you"

Her words seemed genuine but with her power I mean She could kill me anytime she wanted so for now I'll just play along until she proves me wrong.

"Uh huh ?"

"Listen to me well Xephena,I'm not the Enemy we have a bigger Threat out There.and you are the only one with enough power to stop them"

"I'm sure you've seen that message I sent you it felt so real right ? Remember our minds are linked  Well that's what awaits us if you are not prepared.

Message.....? Could she be talking about what happened earlier ? All seems so real so she's able to see into the future then send the signal wave to me that's some next level stuff."

"I'm sure by now, you've figured it out.......they Are coming for you"
