17. Hospital

Eleanor's POV

The car spiralled out of control. we flipped over and slid to the side of the road. I kept calling Kat but she wasn't answering. I was trapped the car had collapsed on top of me and Kat I stayed quiet to try and hear Kat's breathing. but all I could hear was the rain hitting my bleeding head. I had cut my head and couldn't feel my left leg but I didn't care I just wanted to make sure Kat was okay. after calling her name over and over again,i could here sirens and a lot of people. the noise pounding through my head. I could hear someone calling me it sounded like Louis. I started to shout "HELP !! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US!!!!!" I was shouting and shouting until I could see Harry's face he looked worried tears streaming down his face. Suddenly everything started to go fuzzy. I could feel my head pounding my eyelids getting heavier until finally I passed out...

HARRYS POV

The girls had finished school a couple of hours ago now and they still weren't home. we all tried calling them. no answer. Louis and Liam went to get food and hopefully find the girls. I hope they're okay. " they'll be fine haz don't worry" Zayn said sitting next to me trying to comfort me but I could tell he wasn't 100% sure either. Niall was a mess pacing back and forth. I could tell he really cared about Kat. I had never seen him this bad. He started to cry. I quickly got up rushing to his side pulling him into a hug. he started to cry into my shoulder. next thing zayns phone went of he picked it up and his facial expression went from hopeful to fearful. his voice became shaky as he ended the call he looked over to me, shaking his head in disbelief. None of us hesitated we all ran out of the house to the car. Zayn drove as he was the only one who knew where we were going. " What's happened?" Niall finally broke the tension between us. " they-they were in a- a car crash" Zayn stuttered I instantly broke down. I can't believe it I feel awful. Zayn sped up the road only to be abruptly stopped by a barrier of police and ambulances . I clambered out of the car and ran towards the wall of police. one of the police officers pushed me backwards " sorry mate your not allowed back there" he said dully not even looking at me
" You don't understand my sister is in that car" I cried "oh I'm so sorry sir I didn't know here" he replied with a small hint of sympathy as he moved out of the way so I could get through. I ran towards the flipped over car. woah this was serious. I bent down by the car and saw Eleanor lying there limply she was in pain but conscious. she had cut her head right above her eye and was covered in bruises but she still managed a small smile at me before passing out. an army of paramedics were storming there way towards me. I pulled myself of the floor and out of the way. they lifted Eleanor out of the car. I heard a loud sob from the right of me I turned to find Louis on the floor crying with Liam next to him looking shocked. they were both soaked from the heavy rain that was falling on all of us. I looked back at Ellie she was falling limp in their arms her leg snapped and she was covered in blood her uniform was ruined and she looked like she was dead. the only sign of life was her chest slowly rising up and falling back down. I couldn't hold back anymore. I threw myself at the car ripping it apart trying to find Kat. I pulled one of the doors away to find Kat's limp body lying in amongst the rubble of the car there was no emotion on her face and I couldn't see her breathing. I fell next to her and cried my heart out. she was dead and I couldn't do anything about it.or could I? I pulled her limp blood-stained body into my arms as I stood up and started screaming "SOMEONE HELP QUICK SOMEONE SAVE HER" I looked a mess but I didn't care my sister was practically dying in my arms. the paramedics ran over taking her off my and running with her back to the ambulance. I followed, as fast as my feet could take me. Louis was with Eleanor she had come around and was screaming in pain Louis was comforting her in the other ambulance. Liam held my shoulder holding me back as they ran to the ambulance. " I'll go find the boys we'll go to the hospital and wait there" he said calmly I nodded as he ran off into the distance. I raced to the ambulance and found Kat lying on the stretcher with needles every where possible she was hooked up to everything imaginable. It made my stomach tie in knots seeing here like this. One of the paramedics guided me to a seat in the ambulance and gave me a blanket and a towel. I took Kat's hand and didn't let go. the ambulance zoomed off the sirens ringing through my head. We arrived at the hospital and there were hundreds of paparazzi there I ran inside still holding Kat's hand. they took her straight through a door and I was held back by a nurse. " I'm sorry sir you can't go any further" she gently said " here" she started, guiding me to the waiting room. I hated these chairs they were full of horrific memories stained with people tears and pain and unbelievably uncomfortable. " she will be fine the doctors here are good they'll do everything to save her. "
" I understand" I said flopping into one of the chairs as the boys burst in. they all came over and sat around the room all of their faces were stained with tears. " I'll leave you alone" the nurse mumbled just loud enough for me to hear. she looked around her middle 30s and had long copper hair that fell down her back in curls. she had a warm comforting smile. it helped especially in a place like this. I pulled out my phone making the dreaded phone call to my mum to tell her what had happened . I shakily dialled her phone after two rings she answered " hiya hunny" she cried cheerfully down the phone " mum you need to come down to the hospital now Kat's dying"I almost yelled " what!!!" She screamed. I explained everything and she started to cry. " we're on our way" she replied before abruptly hanging up. I slumped in my chair terrified of what was going to happen. the waiting room was actually really full. " Katrina Jessica styles" a voice said blankly. everyone looked up of course because of her name. I threw myself on to my feet. " how is she" I asked nervously "follow me " she said she was blonde and bitter her smile was edgy unlike the other nurse's. she led me to a isolated room where Kat lay on the bed a doctor standing at the end filling in a form. " hmm" I cleared my throat he looked up " ah mr styles" he said making his way over to me to shake my hands. " Is she okay ?" I replied
" You were lucky Mr Styles. we only just saved her she has buckled her knee cap and one of her lungs were damaged. we managed to save her lung and she should gain consciousness in around 25 minutes" he explained looking at his clipboard " you got lucky. if she was left any longer she wouldn't be her right now." he said seriously looking me in the eye " I'll leave you catch up" she said walking out of the door. I walked over to Kat dragging a chair to the side of her bed taking her hand in mine. I just sat and stared. even now she looked so strong. I sat there silently the only sound was her heart beat on the machine I stared at the blood going through the needle from the back and into her arm.
My mother burst through the door. I could tell she was shaken up she came alone she ran over to me hugging me " oh Harry what you must've been through how is she" she babbled

" The doctor said she'd be fine she'll come round in about ten minutes now." I replied
" Oh Harry thank god I have you" she cried into my shoulder
"hey why don't you go get the boys ye?" I asked pulling out of our hug
" Yeah " she nodded leaving the room. I spun on my heel and sat in my chair getting hold of Kat's hand again " I love you Kat. I'm so sorry I wasn't there . I should've been there. just please. please forgive me." I looked up from the floor "I need you" I cried. I felt her grip tightened I sat up and her eyes fluttered open. " I need you too haz" she smiled.

KATS POV

" I need you " I heard Harry say as I woke up. I felt my hand in his I squeezed his hand " I need you too haz" I smiled as I opened my eyes. a smile grew on Harry's face as he lunged forwards and pulled me into a hug. I felt so safe being back in his arms. so much had happened in the last 24 hours it's unbelievable. I heard the door open and everyone came in. including Eleanor I sat up and saw that she was on crutches " el oh my gosh are you okay" I asked worried
" I'm fine it's you who needs to worry I got out with just a broken leg. you nearly died" I looked around and my eyes locked on mums she ran forwards hugging me as the tears streamed down her face " I'm so sorry this happened Kat " she said
" Mum you couldn't have done anything to stop it don't blame yourself" I said looking her in the eye
" Now go home and get some rest okay" I said slowly
" Okay I'll be over tomorrow to see you I love you" she kissed my head then went home. the next couple of hours went by in a blur then the doctor walked in " ah Kat your awake. now we are happy to discharge you tomorrow as long as you take your medication at home and take it easy for the next couple of months you buckled your knee walking is going to be hard but you have good friends they'll help you" he was right I did have good friends. friends that saved my life. friends that will drop everything just for me and today they proved it. Harry and Niall stayed with me over night I was given medicine to make me fall asleep the last thing I saw was Niall and Harry smiling before I fell into a deep sleep.
