"Help me."
Josh sat upright immediately when he heard those words, especially since they sounded like they were coming from inside his tiny apartment. "Hello?" He said aloud, reaching for his glasses in the dark of the nighttime. He looked over to the clock by his bed, to see that it was just past 1:00 AM. Must have been a weird dream, he thought to himself as he lay back down.
"Help me." The voice cried again as he sat up again. Ok, he thought, that is definitely not a dream. He looked outside his window, hoping it was just somebody outside and not someone in his room. He saw nothing out there except a few moths, fluttering in the light of a street lamp at the end of the parking lot. "Please. Can't anyone help me?" The voice cried again, feminine in sound, and young from what he could tell, but no one could be seen as he looked out all the windows. That sounded like that was in my head, not aloud, he thought to himself, but that's crazy.
Shaking his head he walked back into his room to settle in for the night. "Please" the voice cried again, scared and lonely sounding, but definitely not aloud that time.
"Hello?" He thought, trying to direct his thoughts outward, as if there is anyone that can actually hear them, he chuckled to himself.
Suddenly, there was a bright blue flash, blinding him temporarily in the darkness of his room. He felt something land on his bed, a weight of some kind, before whatever it was tackled him, hugging him tightly.
"Oh thank you!" The voice said, "you're the first person to answer me back. Can you help me?"
Josh reached over and flicked on his bedside lamp, the light illuminating his room as his sight returned, only to be stunned by what he saw.
Gripping his chest tightly was a small form, no bigger than a child, but what threw him off was the bright green hair, and the small red horn that jutted out of its head. As he pulled it off him and set it down on his bed he got an even better look at it, the white body and small almost dress like waves of something around its legs. The more he looked the more he knew he had to be dreaming at this point. Standing on the edge of his bed was a Ralts. A Pokemon. Living and breathing.
"Are.. Are you real?" He asked aloud at the creature on his bed.
"Of course I am." the voice, the Ralts, answered in his head. "I'm as real as you are, though I don't quite know where I am. Can you tell me where I'm at?"

"Uhh.." Josh stuttered, "you're in town, Dallas to be exact, where did you come from?"

"Dallas town?" Ralts said back confused, "I've never heard of that town. Is it in the Hoenn region?"

"Umm no it's not," he replied, "there is no Hoenn region here. In fact, as far as I know you are the only Pokemon in this world."

Ralts took a step back. "I'm.... I'm the only one?" tears sprang to its eyes, "Mom, Dad, they aren't here anywhere? But, how did I get here?"

"I honestly have no idea." He replied, scratching his head as his thoughts raced. A Pokemon. A real, live, Pokemon. Here, in his room. He reached out, placing his hand gently on the Ralt's head to assure himself, despite having been tackled and squeezed by the same creature not five minutes ago. "What were you doing before you came here?"

The Ralt's sniffled softly, its head pushing into his hand before hugging him and starting to cry on his chest. "I-I was with mom and dad. Me and dad were playing, throwing berries back and forth with confusion so I could practice. Then that, storm, started up. It was all of a sudden, one moment it was bright and sunny, and the next it was storming, the winds picked up and lightning started hitting everywhere." She sniffed again. She? How did he know it was female all of a sudden? "We were heading back home when mom started getting a psychic headache, something was using a lot of power, and pretty close to us. After a few minutes she couldn't even move anymore, and dad was starting to feel the effects too. Suddenly there was a massive surge of power, and a loud explosion sound. I got scared and mom told me to teleport home before I was affected too. When I did, the power surge washed over us and suddenly I was in this world. All alone." She sniffed again, and started sobbing into his chest, her little voice calling out in between sobs.

He hesitantly placed his hand on her head, treating her like the child she was and trying to comfort her. Yep, he thought, she's real. "Well, I'm not sure what happened, but it's night here, and pretty late too. Maybe a good night's sleep will help? It's about all the help I can offer right now."

The Ralts sniffed, rubbing the tears from her eyes and yawning, "I-I could use some sleep." She crawled under the covers, laying down beside him before he could react. He laid back down, turning the light off and trying to get comfortable. A real Ralts was the last thought that ran through his head before drifting back to sleep.
