Draco and Y/n have been broken up for a while. They were that 'it' couple in Hogwarts. No one ever thought Draco was going to have a girlfriend, let alone have someone love him. But she did, Y/n loved him dearly. She looked passed his ego and rudeness. She found the real Draco Malfoy. Draco was himself around her, he could let his guard down with her. He felt safe with her.

Like every couple, they had their fights. But this one was different. Y/n could only hold her emotions for so long. She was emotionally drained.

There comes a time where a person can only take so much. This was her breaking point. Loving Draco was exhausting, but she always wanted more, until now. Y/n couldn't take it anymore. She had to let him go in order for her to love herself.

Breaking up with Draco destroyed Y/n. It hurt her physically and mentally. There were times where she didn't even leave her dorm or eat. She was truly heartbroken.

It wasn't until Y/n finally decided she was going to stop being depressed over some boy. She knew she was worth more than crying over him. All her friends were happy to see her getting better again, over time of course.

One year later, Y/n was okay. It still hurt her sometimes when she would see Draco in class, but she was better. And the main reason for her happiness was Fred Weasley. They had always been friends and he was always there for her through the break up. He made her happy. For the first time in a long time, Fred made her laugh.

They grew closer together as they spent more time at school and even the burrow. Y/n loved his charm and humor. He always seemed to make her happy. When Fred confessed his feelings for Y/n during Christmas break. She was happier than ever, she hugged him tightly, "I like you too Freddie."

Going back to Hogwarts Y/n and Fred were a couple. The trio and his family knew, as well as some of Y/n's slytherin friends. Blaise had informed Draco about this and he was devastated. He didn't want anyone to love her, besides himself.

Don't you call him baby, we're not talking lately. Don't you call him what you used to call me.

Y/n never thought she'd ever find someone else. She believed after their breakup, she was never going to find true love anymore. Fred Weasley completely changed that.

They both walked in the corridors of Hogwarts, hand in hand. Fred picked Y/n up from her waist, hanging her over his shoulder. "Fred!" She laughed. "Baby please put me down!" She laughed trying to loosen his grip. He spun her around and her laugh filled the corridors.

Draco watched silently as the two of them had their special moment. She's calling him what she used to call me, he thought to himself. Hearing Y/n call Fred that nickname made him feel sick. It made him feel broken, because he had completely lost her.

I confess, I can tell that you are at your best. I'm selfish, so I'm hating it.

Draco would always look at Y/n laughing at his jokes. He could see the way her eyes sparkled when she looked at him. He could see Y/n was finally happy. A part of him hated seeing Fred make her laugh so much, but he knew better. No matter how much it pained him, it made him glad to see she was finally okay.

Yes he still loved Y/n, but she was happy with another man. And all that mattered to Draco was her happiness, even if it meant being with someone else.

Does he take you walking around his parents' gallery?

Draco would always wonder if Fred did the same things, they once did when they were together. Draco would reminisce their happy memories. Like that one time Y/n came over to Malfoy Manor. Draco knew how much Y/n loved to read, especially old books.

He was excited to show Y/n the library he had in his home. He knew she'd love it. Entering his home, Y/n was so surprised seeing how huge it was. Draco pulled her along into the library, "Merlin you have a library?" She said amazed and he nodded. He watched as she went over each book shelf, her fingers softly touching each book. Draco would never forget Y/n's face being amazed at his parents library gallery.

But he had to stop thinking about those memories because now Y/n was with someone else, who made her happy – and Draco wasn't with the love of his life. He would just watch her be happy with another man. Draco had lost his love and no matter how much it hurt him to see Y/n with Fred, he just wanted her to be happy.
