Fine things for asking mother I said with a grunt. Well if you would get up when your alarm went off I wouldn't have to yell at you, do I dare ask what you did over the weekend for you to start singing that one direction song? Umm huh thinking back to what did I do..... umm oh yeah went to a party that went on for three days, got drunk and passed out. Noting not one little thing worth telling anyway is all I said to my mom with a small smile. She just looked at me walking away telling me to hurry up are I would be late. I dragged my lazy butt up and to the shower trying to remember what the hell did I do? I turned on the water got it just right, I let the water fall over my head and started to sing that daaang song again. What the freak was up with that, I so don't even listen to that little boy band so not my thing.
Walking in the kitchen I saw my mom fixing a plate of eggs. My mouth started to water damn I must be really hungry. As soon as my mom put my eggs in front of me I started to dig in. She looked at me for a few saying I don't know where you put all that food you eat like a horse. I just mumbled a uh huh not stopping to even notice my mother other wise. Digging my phone out my pocket I started to sing along with my ring-tone. “I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing†you gonna answer or just sing along with it my mom asked? What I cant help it I like that song. Sliding the green button across my screen saying sup sugar fry? My crazy best was yelling come on you damn hocker I be out front let's go.
I garbed my bag and stuffed what food I could in my poor mouth yelling I'm coming when I heard my phone ringing again. Don't piss your pants I'm coming! Well hi to you to, the voice on the other end wasn't the best it was my grandfather. Umm hi pop pop sorry I thought you where someone else. My grandfather started to laugh and said I called on the council behalf so it's all business today my dear sweet crazy granddaughter. Rolling my eyes grr it's always something with that damn council! What now they need some one hunted down and brought in for questions or killed? Sighing grandfather
asked if I could meet with the council tonight around 7 O'clock? Yeah I guess I could and this butter be worth my time. You will get all the details tonight, take care my dear child. Alright pop pop i'll see you and those ass holes tonight.
Walking out the door and jumping in the car letting out a sigh. Leah my best friend looked at me that good huh? Yeah something like that and your gonna love it NOT. She wrinkled her nose let me guess, your dog didn't die because his running in the yard so that means the council wonts us to do something yet again! I smiled the best face smile nodding my head yup. I have no clue what they want but I have a meeting with them tonight at 7. so until then this better be a norm day or what norm it can be for us. Laughing Leah said yeah for real whatever normal means.
Pulling in to the already full parking lot at school, we got out of the car walking up the steps to the front of school. Stooping where our friends where laughing and goofing off they all jumped up yelling with some oh my freaking balls cant believe that weekend, you guys where to damn funny.
Smiling and waving it off like it was just another day I walked to my locker towing Leah with me.
Grabbing my books I thought about this past weekend and for the life of it I couldn't remember anything, that could be good or bad huh. Leah asked what could be good or bad? Oh just thinking about this weekend, did we get that messed up cause I don't remember any of it. Yeah me either well some stuff I remember but it's kinda fuzzy. Sighing we walked in to our first class just as the bell rang.
Taking our sets in the back of the class as Mrs. Green took role I heard a low growl I looked over at Carson. The dude looked like he was about to blow his top eyes changing from bright green to yellow. Flowering his gaze I saw Anna flirting with a guy, hitting Carson in the back of the head he turned toward me growling. Look if you don't want ever one here seeing a hunter take down a wolf then you best snap out of it. He blinked a few times after about five minutes of shaking in his desk.
Sorry he said I just lose it ever time I see some guy around Anna. She's my mate for crying out and she don't give to licks of a shit. Giving him a small I know it sucks but you got to watch yourself in public. Not all humans know about us seeing a huge wolf bust out from you might not be the best way to win them over. Besides Anna is stupid for rejecting you as her mate, there is some one out there that you will meet and that person will love you for you no matter what you might be. He smiled saying thanks your a good friend. Yeah will you smell like a wet dog at times so you will know it's love if they looked past that grinning form ear to ear. I don't smell like wet dog you insane girl! Sure you don't and that reminds me I have a meeting with the council tonight. I fill you in on the deds when I know what's going on. Rolling his eyes with a nod class started with the teacher yelling at us to hush in her class.
The day went by slowly when the bell rang for lunch I picked up my stuff stuffing everything in my locker. Walked to the courtyard where we all sat under a tree ever day for lunch. Seating down next to Leah on my right Carson across from me and Luck to my left. Looking at my friends they all brought something different to the table. Not like food but what they where and the way they did things. Leah my best friend for as long as I can remember is a witch, her family comes from a very long line her grandmother is on the council as well. Carson is a wolf he joined our little group about four years ago. Luck is human his very book smart, he found out about our world on his on by reading the right books. He moved here last year and clicked well with a us. As for myself I was born from a line of hunters.
The four of us are a team as well as friends, We help keep our world hidden from humans. Not all humans are out to kill us or us kill them. There are humans that know all about us due to stumbling upon a book or they are a mate to one of our kind. We are of the night world people as most humans like to call us, We are just like any human just with abilities. Carson is the only one out of us four that has found his mate Anna a wolf as well. she rejected him saying he wasn't good enough for her, then let some other wolf mark her stupid stupid girl. Poor Carson though he has a hard time dealing with the rejection. Thank the fates you can have another soul mate if you get rejected by the first one. Finding that one person that made just for you is hard then having to find a second one is even worse.
Luck Reaching over me grabbing the cookie Leah had teasing him with she stuck her bottom lip out to pout. We all where laughing at the way she looked. Aww poor Leah honey that's what you get really you know not to tease Luck with food, that boy can eat all day and still be hungry yet he looks like a twig. The bell rang out telling us lunch was over time to get back to class. Groining we all got up cleaned up our trash tossing it in the near by trash can. Saying our see ya's Carson looped his arm with mine off to class we go he said skipping all the way to our class.
The finale bell rang for the day jumping up grabbing everything me and Carson looped arms again. Walking to his locker here put my stuff in yours today I'm gonna be lazy. Laughing he took my stuff slamming the door shoot we where off to leave this hell hole for the day. Climbing in Leah's car we drove to my house singing along to the radio.
