Nat sat there with Rhodey, getting more anxious the more the beeps from the monitor went past. Rhodey sat in a chair silently while Nat sat on the end of Jessie's bed. The two would occasionally talk, but they didn't want to wake her up.

A few hours passed and Nat was asleep on the end of the hospital bed while Rhodey was asleep in the chair. Jessie slowly waked up stretching her legs and accidentally knocking Nat, causing her to wake up

"You're awake!" Nat smiled

"Yeah... well, I feel like I got strangled a lot" Jessie joked as she rubbed her neck. The nurse soon came inside and smiled

"Glad to see you awake Miss Barnes" The nurse said checking over her quickly, waking up Rhodey accidentally in the process. He quickly texted Tony and told him that Jessie had awaken before looking over to see what was happening
"We have some news as to what happened, you're left arm... we had to amputate it" The nurse said

"I can feel it..." Jessie yawned

"Well, Tony is making you something to help" Rhodey said

"Where is George?" Jessie panicked suddenly

"Hes safe with Pepper" Rhodey answered

"Thank god" Jessie said sinking into her bed as she relaxed

"I'll leave you three alone, if there is any issues, let me know" the nurse said as she left.

"Rhodes... my memeory" Jessie said

"Its not a worry" Rhodey answered

"No it is, I can't remember what happened" Jessie said

"Really?" Natasha asked

"Yeah, I just remember waking up on my couch, seeing Rhodes then it's a blur who done it and exactly what happened... I just remember jumping in before something tried to get Rhodey, then it was blank" Jessie explained

"Some woman stabbed you in the arm and somehow the guy slit a tiny bit of your throat" Rhodey explained

"Wow... I'm surprised I am still here" Jessie said then looked at her lost arm.

"Dont focus on it Jess, Tony is working-"

"- is here actually. I had a random spare made" Tony said as he burst in with a case and the nurse.

"I swear he just waits for his name to be said" Jessie joked as he walked around to her.

"It may sting, I say may cuz I have no idea" Tony said. Rhodey stood up and walked over to Jessie, she gripped his hand nervously.

"Let's get it on" Rhodey said and Tony placed this small band on her arm, it tightened up and opened all the way up around her shoulder. She led still as she felt the arm extend out and the pain from it tapping into her nerves. As soon as it stopped, she looked down at it and slowly lifted it up to see it.

"Wow, it's really good" Jessie said

"Best of the best from me, sorry Rhodey" Tony stated

"Wow Mr Stark, that worked amazingly" The nurse stated as she analysed the arm

"Well, I have to make sure my childs godmother is fully protected" Tony said and moved Jessie's hair out her face with a smile. She turned to Rhodey and looked at him

"Can you find me a new house?" Jessie asked and Rhodey nodded.

"Of course, I'll put it closer to me... I also can then find a place for you to train on that arm" Rhodey said and Jessie nodded with a smile.
