Kakashi's daughter, Sasuke's lover? What? Chapter 5

I laughed happily with Jaws running at my side, he barked happily. We finally arrived in the field, to my surprise I heard someone training, I quietly sneaked over to a bunch of bushes and looked through to see none other than Sasuke Uchiha, I smirked and stood up. I whistled making Sasuke spin around. I stepped out of the bushes,

"Did you want something?" I shook my head,

"Nope, just calling Jaws." Sasuke raised his eyebrow,

"Jaws?" I smiled as a familiar dog ran after me. I gestured to him,

"Jaws." He smirked,

"So is he Kakashi's?" I shook my head,

"He's my ninja hound. I have 3 more too." Sasuke nodded and started walking closer making Jaws growl. Sasuke stopped walking,

"Sit." Jaws stopped growling and sat. Sasuke looked at me impressed and continued walking closer, "Down." Jaws reluctantly laid on the ground, and I smiled at Sasuke,

"So are you training him?" He asked, I nodded,

"He needs to learn the Inazuka jutsu man-beast clone." He nodded,

"Mind if I watch?"

"Not at all." He nodded and went to sit down under a tree, I turned my attention back to Jaws, I looked at him sternly, "Alright. Remember your chakra control. Make it seem like we are one and then we truly will be." Jaws nodded, I smiled, "Alright!" I yelled and crouched down.

Sasuke POV

I watched them curiously from under my tree; Ayame gave Jaws a quick brief on what is to be expected. I was surprised to find that as soon as she started talking, I started seeing her as an all powerful Kunoichi. She was short yet her voice made the illusion that she was 20 feet tall. I smiled impressed,

"Alright!" She yelled crouching down, I noticed that her hair became scruffier and her stance was slightly animal like. I looked at them in confusion, Jaws jumped on her back looking quite into it. Ayame made some hand signs and the grass seemed to sway like some type of invisible wind was blowing it away from them. Unfortunately nothing happened and the invisible wind subsided, Jaws jumped off her back and Ayame scratched her head,

"Maybe we're missing something..." She looked over me, "Do think we are?" I shrugged,

"I don't know, I've never seen this jutsu preformed."

"Maybe I should go ask Kiba." Jealousy swelled up inside me. My eyes widened in surprise to my reaction to her just suggesting seeing him,

"Are you ok?" I focused back to her looking at me concerned. Embarrassing much! To cover that up, I put on my usual blank expression,

"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked in monotone. She looked at me puzzled then shrugged. Asshole I thought to myself. I gritted my teeth; I wanted to act like myself around her, why wouldn't I let myself? Because you're afraid she won't like you for you. I answered myself. I shook that thought off. I'm not afraid; I'm Sasuke Uchiha of the great Uchiha clan. Uchiha's don't get 'scared' of things like that. I focused back on Ayame, her white hair was once again scruffy and her stance animal like. I sighed and decided to zone out,

"You don't have to stay you know." I looked back at Ayame; I noticed that the sky had gotten pretty dark. I looked at her face, it showed concern. I shook my head,

"I'm ok. You on the other hand." I looked her over; she looked tired, "You look a mess." She rolled her eyes,

"Just what every girl wants to hear." I smiled, she always found the bright side in everything, "Anyway Kakashi wanted me to train Jaws tonight." I nodded,

"But you should conserve your chakra for tomorrow." She shrugged,

"I know the test pretty well. The only problem is trying to beat Kakashi. It's really hard. I don't know how I'm gonna beat him." I nodded and looked at the sky,

"Is he really that strong?"

"Of course."

"Hn." We stayed silent for a moment,

"Maybe we should work together through it?" I shook my head, and looked back at Ayame,

"I work alone." She looked hurt at my rejection, I opened my mouth to say something to her but she suddenly smiled,

"T-That's alright. I-I thought the same thing. It was silly of me to ask. Sorry." I closed my mouth and nodded. She really was one understanding girl.

Ayame's POV

I was crushed by Sasuke's rejection, and the fatigue wasn't helping either. I saw his change of expression, serious to guilty. I made my lips form into a convincing smile,

"T-That's alright. I-I thought the same thing. It was silly of me to ask. G-Gomenasai." He closed his mouth and looked at me with a slightly confused face. I turned my back knowing I was going to lose my smile soon. I let it drop when I started to talk to Jaws, I glanced up and saw something that made tears form in my eyes. The K.I.A stone. I looked back down at Jaws,

"U-Uh, break." Jaws nodded,

"Is everything ok?" I heard Sasuke ask in a concerned voice, I ignored him and started walking towards the K.I.A stone. When I reached it the first name my eyes fell upon was one of my own, Miyra Kawa.

I felt a tear trickle down my cheek, okaa-chan. My legs suddenly felt weak and I fell to the ground. The second name, Tirone Kawa,

"Brother." I whispered,

"Ayame?" I heard Sasuke ask from behind me, I finally let my grief out. I wept, loud and clear. I didn't care, I don't find shame in crying for something or someone you loved. Sasuke kneeled beside me. I saw him stiffen,

"Most of the names on here a-are-"

"M-My clan." I sobbed, I gasped when I felt myself being pulled into an embrace,

"I understand. My family was killed when I was young too." I gripped onto Sasuke,

"I-I'm sorry! Why should I be feeling sorry for myself when there are people like you out there who are going through worse than me!" I was babbling now. I felt more then heard Sasuke chuckle,

"You really are a selfless girl aren't you?" I stopped moving. That's what Kakashi had said all those years back. I laughed and buried my face into his chest,

"Why do people keep saying that?" I laughed. I found myself getting tired; Sasuke's heartbeat was like a lullaby. Before I knew it I was in my bed. I gasped and sat up, I looked around and jumped when Kakashi entered my room,

"Are you alright?" He asked coming closer to me, I put my hand up to my head and nodded,

"What happened?" I asked, Kakashi chuckled,

"Don't you remember? You fell asleep with Sasuke in the training field and he brought you here. You really shouldn't push yourself so hard." I didn't answer, it wasn't a dream? I felt my face go red and I was secretly glade Kakashi hadn't turned on the light,

"Ayame?" Kakashi asked,

"Oh! Yea, Gomenasai!" 

"Are you alright?" second time you've asked I thought, "Do you need to talk tomorrow off? Your acting... strange..." I quickly shook my head then remembered that he couldn't see me, "I can't see you so your gonna have to make a verbal response." Sometimes I think he can read my mind,

"No I'm ok. I just need some sleep. What time is it?" I asked settling back into bed,

"It's about 1am." I stiffened,

"And you're not asleep?"

"I only got back 2 hours ago let me get ready geez!" I laughed but that was soon overtaken by a yawn, "Guddonaito *Goodnight*." I smiled,

"Anata mo *You too*." He then closed the door leaving me in the darkness, I thought that I'd be kept awake by the recent events with Sasuke but my need for rest overpowered me and I was pulled into a deep sleep.
