Ever since i was little my dad would take me to the beach. I would always feel as if the water was calling to me. Although as soon as i walk towards the water my dad would yell for me to stop lagging behind and hurry up so we could visit grandma and get some money.
See, grandma was very rich. Greedy if fact. When my parents would ask for money to eat this week she would tell them "you guys need to loose weight anyway". Or when we needed to pay the electrical bills "its winter. Get over it".
I hurry to catch up to my dad but trip on something hard and land scraping my knee on said object. I go to look around but i can't. Tears start to slowly slide down my cheeks as i whimper for my dad. But i hear nothing. Why is it so quiet.
After a moment i feel the collar of my shirt start to choke me. I can't breathe. When i go to scratch my throut for air i notice im being lifted off the ground for air.
Once im placed in the standing position i hear the wind rushing towards my face and i feel a hard slap across the cheek. Heat and pain radiate across my face.
"Boys your age don't cry over something so.... stupid. Be a man!" My father growled.
"I'm sorr-"
"Stop. Just rember we only had you to get money out of grandma. And look at you. You even came out with a disorder"
My dad seethed."It's not my fault." I said weakly.
I got smacked again. Harder.
It's not my fault I can't see. Dad. I mentally said with venom.
He grabbed me by the elbow very tightly and forcefully started pulling me to grandmas house to get a quarter of her fortune.
