Nathan, Ground Entrance 4, Base Nidus, 5: 45 pm
Nathan hated his suit. Specifically how tight the pants were.
His suit was a dark burgundy and the cufflinks were solid obsidian that twinkled in the low light. His shirt was a charcoal black, not completely black but not dark grey. He had slicked back his red hair in an attempt to look more refined, instead he felt like a bald eagle. He was thankful he didn't have a tie, he hated them.
He showed up at Entrance 4 just after the girls, he marvelled at how intricate their dresses were. Evas short hair was gathered into a bun with any loose hairs curled. The dress covered her entire upper body and was entirely white lace. The skirt stopped just below her knees showing small white flats on her feet. The designs of flowers curled around the dress, making her look like a walking frozen flower field. Lyn looked more deadly compared to Evas soft white.
Lyns dress covered one of her arms and the skirt fell down to the floor, the other arm had silver bands along her forearms and bicep. Her hand clawed with silver rings. Her black hair was braided back, silver pins holding the inky curls in place. The silver of her jewellery matched her piercings and accentuated her black feathers and dark skin. Nathan almost turned and ran when he saw her.
Kage was waiting for them beside a black car, his black suit matched the topside of his wings and the storm grey shirt matched his hair. He looked up from his wristband and knocked on the drivers door. He pushed himself off the car and walked towards his cadets.
"You're early, must be excited to crash a party," Kage said as he looked over them, nodding in approval at their appearance.
Angelica walked up to the group, Jasper at her heels. "Are we all here or are we still waiting?"
Nathan tried not to stare at Jasper, but it was the first time Nathan has seen Jasper in something other than uniform. And he looked good.
"Just waiting for Jackson," Kage said.
"Are we ready?" A voice called from the car. The door opened to reveal their driver.
"Just one more, Fyn!" Kage called back.
Fyn Trizo? She's a literal legend! Nathan couldn't help but stare at Fyn, she was an absolute unit. She was Flock Leader of the year seventh cadets, she was second best to Kage in everything. When Kage ditched his title of Assistant General, the Directors were going to pick Fyn, she declined and stayed Flock Leader of the fourth year cohort. She was brilliant. Her brother just happened to be Fore Trizo, the second most annoying cadet in the second year cohort, right next to Oliver Pandion.
"Come one Kage, I thought you would get your cadets in line," Fyn joked as she pushed at Kage's shoulder.
He chuckled. "Bold of you to think I can control them"
Fyn wasn't in a dress, and that just amazed Nathan more. She had the same dress pants as Kage but her button up shirt was cut off, exposing her toned stomach. She even had a small black bowtie.
"Kage, this is one sick joke you're pulling," Jasper said, turning the attention to him.
Standing right next to Jasper was Jackson, in the same suit. Now they were purely identical, right down to the stitching of the suit. They both had sour faces, Nathan was struggling to tell the difference.
Kage looked between both of them wildly. "This isn't what I ordered."
"Yeah I bet," Jackson said sourly. Wait no, Jasper, why do they even sound the same?
