I never asked who it was, however, the doubts were there.

There were only two people who knew about the pregnancy; Amanda and Connor. Somehow, word managed to get out and into the ears of Principal Daly.

I was angry mom, I don't know who to question first. A part of me knows Amanda would never do such a thing, why would she? She's been right by my side through all this. And Connor... what was his gain by telling on me to the Principal?

Thankfully, the exams are over. I passed them all, mom. I told you I could do it.

Taking a sip from my hot chocolate, I looked out of the booth seats searching the restaurant with my eyes. These seats are at the end of the store, no one can see me from here.

Anyways, mom, thank God for Mrs. Maria. She's literally like a guardian angel, I've told you so many times about her but this was the toughest thing she's ever done for me.

If it wasn't for her, I don't think I would've been able to write that final exam last week.

"Hope I'm not too late!" a familiar voice made me lift my head from the book I was writing. I smiled watching her take a seat right opposite me and placed her bag on the table.

"Have you ordered some food?" she asked looking at the cup I was holding.

"No, but I-"

She narrowed her eyes and raised her left hand with her perfect engagement ring shining. I smiled and looked away as a waiter approached us and took her order. He soon left with a page of his notepad half filled with all sorts of food.

"You know, you didn't have to," I whispered still looking away.

"You need to eat. Especially now you know," she whispered and looked around cautiously before adding "with the baby and all."

I smiled half-heartedly.

"Do you want to talk about it?" her hand reached out to hold mine and caressed it with her thumb. I looked at her eyes with tears and nodding I began to explain everything. From the party, I attended with Connor a month or so ago to the incident in the hallway right outside the library.

Her expressions went from empathetic and compassioned to angry, then shocked, then angry once more.

"How dare he?" she snapped, her voice somewhat muffled by her mouth full of french fries and hamburger. A giggle escaped my lips as I ate some of my fries too.

She took quick sips of her milkshake and focused her eyes on me, "seriously though, what the hell is wrong with men –sorry, boys nowadays? If I were you, I'd walk up to his house and tell his mom everything."

This woman is my inspiration. Really, I wish I had half of her confidence.

"Bella?"

"Yes, Mrs. Maria?"

"Do not let him make you feel bad about this baby, okay? You've taken a hard yet incredible choice by choosing to keep it. I am against abortion in general but a girl your age, owning up to her responsibilities... I'm proud of you. And I'm sure she is too." she muttered looking at the purple book I was writing on before she came in.

"I feel like I've failed her." I blurted, my hands grasping my cup tightly. "This is not what I promised her, you know? I -I don't know how to handle this, how to bring it to my father and-"

"Take it one step at a time, sweetie." her eyes were filled with understanding and so much love, "Now I know that it won't be easy with your father, but whatever happens just know that it's part of the song. It won't be the end of the world if he rejects it which I am sure he won't, you're his only child."
