It was finally the day of the Ball, the day every girl has been waiting and dreaming about. Hermoine, Ginny and Arabella all changed in Arabella's room. Ciara had come by to talk to Dumbledore and give her daughter her gift. She had bought her, her favorite chocolates, flowers and a box of paint. Ciara knew today was the ball and wanted nothing more than help her daughter get ready for the dance. Walking in her daughter's room Arabella was quick to rush to her mother and give her a huge hug. She missed her mom so much. Letters were not enough when it came to missing someone or wanting to see them in person. Ciara had sent her a letter this morning telling her she would come by to drop off her birthday presents. At the sight of her Hermoine and Ginny understood where Arabella got her beauty from. Her mother was beyond beautiful. Ciara offered to help in which they all excitedly accepted.

Ciara was helping her daughter with her hair. She talked with the girls about when she went to her first yule ball. Then she explained how Arabella has gone to many balls before but she knew why her daughter was excited for this one. Her daughter hasn't told her much about Cedric but she's heard a lot from Amos and his wife. They both talked to her about how Cedric was really happy with her. And that they also look so cute together. Ciara wasn't mad at her daughter for not telling her. She knew that it was something new to her and she understood she wasn't that good at explaining her own feelings. Arabella was better at showing what she was feeling. Hermoine did ask her how old she was. She answered saying she was about the same age as Harry's mother. "How was your birthday Bella?" Ara rolled her eyes hating the name. She was only okay when Cedric would say it because it sounded lovely coming out of his mouth.

"It was amazing. Thanks for the gifts mum and for being here." Ciara smiled and kissed her daughter on top of the head. "So I've heard there's this boy." The strawberry brunette's cheeks turned pink. Immediately she grabbed the necklace around her neck that she hadn't taken off. Arabella smiled looking at the pictures pinned on the wall of her and Cedric. "His name is Cedric Diggory." Ciara curled the last hair strand before grabbing the makeup bag. "I know his name. His mother called me once you two started dating." She chuckled, seeing her daughters reacting. Ara's eyes fell, she felt like her mother was disappointed for not telling her. "I'm not mad. You're a lot like your father, you don't know how to explain your feelings other than showing them." She pinned her strawberry brunette hair back with bobby pins. She didn't want her hair to get makeup all over it. "What is he like?"
