i threw my phone to the side and flopped backwards on my bed. i looked up at my ceiling thinking about how much i was going to miss seattle. obviously, i wanted to move to london but it didn't mean that i wouldn't despise actually leaving seattle. i had a life here. a life that i was happy with. it was just time to get up off my ass and do something useful.

i squeezed the suitcase shut as i tried to zip up the zipper with whatever strength i had left.

"and you're supposed to be the smart one? what the fuck." my sister, ellie, said leaning against my door frame munching on her chips. i rolled my eyes gesturing for her to come help. she obviously didn't. my nosey brother, alex, stuck his head into the door trying to see what was happening.

"uhm struggling much?" he laughed as he brushed pass ellie to help. he sat on the suitcase as i zipped it up. ellie flopped on my bed watching us.

"sooo since you're gonna be gone.. does that mean i get your room..?" ellie said slyly.

"uh no. but nice try" i laughed. as i got up and pat my hands on my legs, my OTHER sibling, caleb, walked into my room and plopped right next to ellie, stealing a chip.

"but come ON," she whined, "i'm gonna be sharing the house with TWO boys, you gotta let me have the ONE luxury of having the nice room." she said.

"but you already have the greatest luxury of having me as a sister." i said smiling at her, framing my face with my hands.

"what good is having the greatest sister if she won't give you her room?" she said, pouting.

"mmm i don't know! maybe you can figure it out in your own room!" i said sarcastically. the two boys looked at each other and laughed hysterically.

as much as i hated to admit, i really was going to miss these three. these ANNOYING three.

i still had one last night before my flight to london. i wanted to spend it with my family.

we had planned to make dinner together and then finish the night with a movie. i guess you could say it went well.. for our family anyways.

we spent so much time joking around that the "dinner" we were making had burned to a crisp. we obviously just laughed it off and ordered a pizza.

i was happy to be able to have these type of dinners with a family. i was adopted when i was little and it didn't take me long to feel welcomed. my parents thought that they couldn't have children so they adopted me! obviously they could have children because before i knew it, i ended up with three more siblings. i wasn't mad about it of course, just totally sucks being the oldest 🙄💔💔.

time skip: the next morning 🌞

as i awoke, i noticed that everyone was still asleep. i had also noticed poor caleb sleeping on the floor without a blanket. i laughed as i took my blanket and put it over him. i got up and went to go brush my teeth but stopped for a second. i looked back and admired my family cuddling together. i slightly smiled and ran upstairs.

they're gonna do fine without me. i reassured myself.
