Harry's POV
"You've yet to tell me where we're heading." The blond boy stated from the passenger seat of my car.
"It's a muggle cafe, my favorite one, in the heart of London." I smiled prominently. It was the best.
"You've seemed to grow very accustomed to the muggle life," Draco teased.
"I was raised by them. And muggles aren't too bad, actually. You wouldn't happen to know," I teased back, knowing that the Draco Malfoy I used to know would not be caught even talking to a muggle.
"I know they aren't. I have a few muggle friends myself. It is strange though, not being able to use magic around them. But I've grown used to it. In fact, I find myself using less and less magic every day." he explained.
"Shocking," I let out a pretend gasp.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever, Potter." He chuckled. It was an unusual thing to hear. Whenever old Draco laughed it was taunting, cold. This was warm and full of joy.
I had a content smile on my face as we pulled into the small parking lot, quickly finding a spot and shutting off the car.
"It looks cozy," Draco said while opening the door and stepping out of the car.
"It's my favorite," I explained, mimicking his actions of getting out of the car.
"As you've said."
We quickly made our way into the small building, the smell of coffee and fresh baked pastries hitting us like a wave the second the door was opened.
"Harry! Hello!" Juniper, my favorite barista, greeted from behind the counter.
"Hey, Juni!" I slightly yelled back to her, making sure she could hear me over the racket in the kitchen. Juniper was a good friend. She's the one who introduced me to the cafe.
"Oooh! I see you've brought a new friend," she was referring to Draco as she dried her hands on a towel, walking over to the cash register.
"Hi, I'm Draco, it's nice to meet you!" he said with a smile on his face sticking his hand out towards the shorter girl.
She gladly took it and gave him a nice shake. "It's nice to meet you too, Draco. I'm Juniper, if you didn't already catch that."
"Beautiful name," he complimented.
"Thank you. Harry, are you getting the regular?" she questioned, turning her attention back to me.
I looked towards Draco. "Do you like earl gray tea?"
"It's only my favorite kind," he replied with a smile.
I returned my focus back to Juni. "Yes, and make it double. Thank you!"
"Anything for my favorite customer." She walked back towards her previous position, bent over the counter top, to prepare our tea.
"Follow me," I said to Draco as I began to walk to the back left corner of the building. It was where I always sit. I small square table in the back. Nobody ever sat there, so it was my favorite.
"So," the blond boy began, "tell me about yourself- about your new self."
"Ha. What do you want to know?" I questioned.
"Everything," the gray eyes of the boy across from me sparkled with his words. Every time I looked into them, it felt as if he could look into my soul.
"Well, life is pretty boring as of right now. Work as an auror isn't as exciting as one would think," I laughed. It was the truth. Although I think something about me being Harry Potter, makes them give me all of the boring cases. They don't want me hurt.
