The room was dark and the air was cold. Tori had no idea where she was and she had no idea how she had gotten there. Over in the corner was a hooded figure with it's back to her. She had to figure out a way to escape before who knows what happens to her. Tori looked around the room to find anything that could help her escape.
"Owww!" she yelled as someone pulled at her hair
"Get up." said a male voice as Tori was yanked off of her feet by her hair. " Now don't move or this will be the last place you see." She felt and saw someone tie a blind fold around her head as something ruff and damp went over her eyes; and she heard the sound of footsteps walking away from her.
"Ha!" she whispered they had forgotten to tie up her hands. She lifted her hands up to remove the blind fold, no one was in the room, this was her chance to escape. She started to run for the door but something tripped her and she fell, hitting her head on the hard stone floor. The world went black.
When Tori woke up again she was in a different room, her hands weren't tied to a pole and her feet were joined together by chains.. " I told you not to move and what did you do? You moved! Well that's not going to happen again." as he said that Tori screamed, because there had to be someone who could hear her, and come and save her. "Shut up you stupid girl. Are you trying to make me deaf? I guess I will just have to shut you up with this." Then the man gagged her with a piece of old cloth. " That's better. This will keep you where you are until we figure out what to do with you." Tori felt a sharp pain in the side of her neck, then her legs went numb and she couldn't move them.
"What did you do to me?" Tori tried to ask but it sounded nothing like that.
"Oh just a little sedative. It only paralyses your legs for several hours. You will be fine." Just then there was a loud bang from just outside of where Tori was being held. "What was that!?" then some boy not much older then Tori came bursting into the room. He had short, dark brown hair that fell into his face, he was pretty tall, about 6 or 6 and a half feet tall. Tori could see his muscles through his white shirt, an he was wearing jeans that just rested on his hip bones. He was also covered in a thin layer of sweat which made his shirt even more see through.
Wow he is hot. Tori thought to herself.
"You really need to get some better security, I just walked right in here."
The man who had knock me out glared at the boy. "Shadow hunter!" what the heck is a shadow hunter and why did that man say it like it was the worst curse word in the world. "You thave no business here leave and i wont have to kill you."
"You. Kill me. I would love to see you try." The boy ran at the man knocking him to the ground. The two of them wrestled on the floor for a wile until the boy punch the man in the face, knocking him unconscious. Then he looked toward Tori. "And who are you?" Tori tried to speak, but it sounded more like a slurred gurgle. "Oh I guess this might help." the boy said as he took the cloth from her mouth and started to untie her hands and feet. " How am I going to get these chains off. Ah. Here we go." then he lifted up a big rock, pulled back his arm - which was very muscular- and brought it down hard on the chains. To Tori's surprise, they broke. "There we go, now what's you name?"
"I'm Tori, but where are we. I don't remember how I got here or what happened." Tori said tears threatening to show.
"Hello Tori, I'm Landon, I heard you scream, and I came to investigate. I came here on, ah other business, but we can't stay here long, he will come around soon, and I don't want to be around when he does." he said motioning over to the man who was now bleeding.
"Why did he call you a shadow hunter? What is a shadow hunter anyway?"
"I will explain everything later but right now you have to get up." he started to help me to my feet but I just fell back down like one of those toys that u press the button to hold them up.
"I can't. He put something in me that made my legs stop working. I cant even move my toes."
Landon's lips pursed while he was lost in though. " Well." he finally said " I will just have to carry you." then he picked Tori up like a little kid and started walking to the door.
" Wait, what? No! Put me down." Tori said trying to get out of Landon's grasp.
"Do you have a better idea of how to get you out of here? I thought not, now stop squirming and hold on." Tori stopped and wrapped her arms around his neck , but being the stubborn girl she was, let out an annoyed huff. "So how did you get stuck here anyway?" Landon said as he started walking.
" I already told you, I have no idea! The last thing I remember is," tori had to think for a moment. "Going to bed last night, wait what day is it today?"
" It's Tuesday." Landon said, looking a little confused.
"What!" tori almost fell out of his arms, but quickly grabbed onto him again. "So you mean I have been here for four days? How is that possible?"
"You really don't remember?"
"No." tori said on the verge of tears, but she was not going to cry, not in front of him. " That man, the one who you knocked out, who is he?"
" We don't know exactly, but we think he is part of a cult. We have been tracking him and his partners for quite some time now. Do you know why he would want to kidnap you? Is your Mom or Dad part of-" Just then there was a loud bang and the sound of people shouting.
Landon cursed. "That was quicker then I hoped." then out of no where someone tackled Landon to the ground, nocking Tori out of his arms and into the wall, splintering the frame. The little bits of wood dug into her right arm and back and she cried out in pain. As she was yanking the splintered pieces out of her arm, Tori looked over at Landon, he was on top of the guy who must have tackled him, holding a knife to the guys throat. "What does your boss want with the brentacator? Tell me!' when the man didn't answer Landon pressed the knife into his throat, tori could see blood forming around the blade. "Tell me!""
"I don't know!" yelled the man
"Wrong answer!" and Landon stabbed the man in the stomach. Tori just sat there in shock. She had never seen a person kill another human before, it just wasn't right. " Are you alright?" he asked lifting her up into her arms once again as they set off.
"Yeah. Sure" she said as she fell unconscious.
