Chapter 2 Annabeth's PoV

Well you know that saying that after the first day it can only get better? Well it was the opposite for the gang and I. We arrived at school and almost immediately we heard the most high pitched and annoying voice ever.
"OMG IT'S PERCY!!!" a girl screeched while running towards us. She hugged Percy and jumped up and down. "OMG PERCY!! ARE THESE YOUR FRIENDS? OMG HI YOU GUYS."
Her voice was so annoying, and it really hurt my ears. But then I processed what was happening. She was touching my boyfriend. More like hugging him, which was worse. Was she trying to steal him? I thought. No, Percy wouldn't let that happen... I wouldn't let that happen.
"Um, excuse me," I started, "Could you not do what your doing right now?"
She stopped jumping and let go of Percy. She walked over to me. "Why? Does Miss Blondie over here have a problem with it?" She asked.
I nodded. "Yes, actually I do have a problem with it. You see Percy is-" I was cut off by Piper and Percy elbowing me at the same time. "Your lucky my friends are stopping me. Just know I do have a problem with what you just did." I continued. Then I shut my mouth.
"Look, Kayla," Percy said, "you really shouldn't touch me ever again. And I already told you, I have a girlfriend so don't even try flirting with me."
Kayla rolled her eyes. "Oh really?" She said in a sarcastic tone. "Tell Blondie that."
"Well actually Kayla," Percy continued and kissed my forehead, "Blondie over here is my girlfriend."
I nodded and smiled as Kayla's jaw dropped. I kissed Percy's cheek for a bit more emphasis. Kayla rolled her eyes and then ran away. Quite literally ran away.
"Good job, Seaweed Brain," I told him.
"Thanks Wise Girl. Good thing me and Piper stopped you from going off." Percy joked.
Then all of us walked into the class. After about five classes, it was lunch time. We ate the amazing food Percy's mom cooked. The whole gang decided to go outside for a little bit. Little did we know, three empousai were waiting for us. We all fought hard until all three were turned into gold dust. Luckily, no mortals were around. We quickly went back to class to finish the rest of school. As we were walking to Percy's apartment, Frank, Hazel, and Leo stopped dead in their tracks. I looked back confused until I saw what they were looking at. A hellhound was bounding down the street coming right for us. We all pulled out our weapons. Percy and Jason were the first to attack.
