the bell rang in soobin's ears as he collected his things, stuffing them lazily in his bag. oh how he was ready to go to his home and visit a great friend of his. sleep. the male, with a tired smile framing his lips, greeted everyone before taking his leave.
not even a second of relaxation on his bed that his phone started to ring, continously. the male with an annoyed expression picked up his phone, ready to snarl at whoever was calling him at this tired hour. "what is it?" the male spoke unexcitedly. his tired eyes shot awoke when he heard what the caller was saying. "he? again? where?"
soobin was sitting straight in his study now, jotting down notes as fast as he could with his phone held to his ear by the help of his shoulder. "thank you. I'll be there soon." he spoke, sternly. gathering his things and fixing his look, soobin's lips formed a small frown as he was excited yet still tired. "can't believe I'm on duty again because of this freak."
according to what soobin was told, the serial killer who apparently has no name known to the public was striking a fellow friend of the investigation team tonight. former executive officer, Mr. Lee. though he was worried for Mr. Lee, he was more excited to face the criminal.
and who is this criminal soobin is talking about? he's a freak to some and, for some odd reason, admiring to some. he's widely known as "The Masked Killer." his victims may seem to have done nothing harmful or illegal according to the police and the government. that's why he's called a freak since there isnt a meaning that can be found behind these murders. unless there's something we don't know about.
his eyes are said to be charming, hypnotic as well. they are said to lure you to the depths of vulnerability that you won't even know what's happening till he pushes his dagger inside of you. his hair is always framing his face, giving him a charming look. but his laugh takes the charm away. the way he laughs, it pierces through your ear drums. might even make you deaf if at it.
soobin's mind was overfilling with thoughts as he arrived to the desired location. getting out of his car, soobin noticed the pile of officers surrounding the building. letting out a mere scoff, soobin told the securities to stay outside yet aware. he wanted to be the first one to witness the criminal up close. as it is, an achievement of a sort.
stepping inside the hollow building. it was visible as to why he chose the place to end his next victim. no one in their right minds would step inside of this filthy place. it was as if this was made on a cemetery, the thought sent shivers down soobin's spine. it would seem that it would be difficult to find the killer in such a large building but his laugh was audible. making it easier to track in which room he was in.
following the fading laughter, soobin now stood infront of the room's door. his heart was beating extremely fast as he was, another step away from danger.
with a creak, soobin opened the door with his feet. his both hands were in his pocket, tightly clutching his guns. and of course, how could the criminal not notice the presence of such a loved officer.
yeonjun got up from his knee to look at him. and oh as they say, it is true that the youngest detective of korea is indeed quite handsome. though, he wasn't that less of a handsome too. scanning from his head to toe, yeonjun greeted soobin in a polite manner, which was least expected by him.
"oh good day officer. and what might brought you here if i may ask?" he spoke as if he was a 2 year old kid, asking if candy was bad for his teeth or not. soobin so effortlessly played along. with not even a flinch, soobin walked towards yeonjun despite the puddle of blood and the tingling odour of it. which seemed to be ravishing for the criminal. "masked killer is it?" soobin asked him in a polite manner. "as a matter of fact, yes. and what do they call you, sire? perhaps.." yeonjun spoke as he pretended to do mathematical equations with his fingers in air before turning his gaze towards soobin again. this time, admiring his features. the man sure was tall and handsome. maybe even too handsome. and his eyes had a certain gleam to it, his aura was powerful yet still soft. "the prince?" yeonjun spoke. soobin chuckled at his humor. "unfortunately no. they call me Mr. Choi."
"oh just lost something. came here to retrieve it." soobin uttered while looking in his eyes. his aura was powering. and his eyes weren't something less. it was as if they spoke their own language, a language soobin got keen to learn. "haha. theres not lost treasure here for you, pirate." the criminal spoke with his fingers running through his pink crimson hair. it didnt quite matter if they were covered with blood as he did like its fragrance.
"the only treasure here is." soobin pointed his finger at him. "you." with a pleasant smile, he spoke. yeonjun couldn't help but laugh. placing his hand on his chest, he looked at the officer in awe. "me? and your lost treasure? aww i feel special." it was quite visible that yeonjun was grinning even if he was wearing a mask.
"but i dont have plans on going out with you any soon. perhaps we should reschedule our date." yeonjun uttered while nodding. though now, he was getting irritated because of how the officer was still standing there with his stiff smile.
"ah yes we should. perhaps tomorrow afternoon? will that be comfortable for you?" yeonjun couldn't help but shake his head. letting out a scoff, the older grabbed his back while taking steps backwards towards the window. "I'll tell you about it, Mr. Choi." "till we meet again, masked killer." soobin said as his voice faded out from yeonjun's ears.
