What happens next!

"He's my older brother."

I stare at him, shocked.

"But his family was cap-p-tured by L-a-r-r-y" I stuttered.

"My father got us out by paying the ransom after years."

"You mean, he could have been safe if he didn't leave."

"Maybe, but Jacob probably would have ended up getting hurt anyway. He would never listen to Larry."  The tears still fell down my face. He held out his arms and pulled me into a hug.  I cried onto his shoulder and tears fell down his face too. We just sat there crying, in silence.  Finally I looked up at him and said, "I should go home."

"I'll walk you." We walk in silence until we reach my bike. He handed me a piece of paper. "Here," he says.

"What's this?" I ask

"My number, call if you need anything and I mean anything, even just company."

"Thanks."

"No problem.  I'll see you around."

"Yeah," I reply and drive off.  I think I just made a new friend. That's great.  I arrive home and walk inside.  I look everywhere before feeling comfortable that I was alone.

I sit down on my couch and get my guitar to play a song I wrote a while ago, then I'll work my own song. (a/n the first song is "If I die Young" by the band Perry and the second is "Fireflies" by Faith Hill.)

If I die young bury me in satin

Lay me down on a bed of roses

Sink me in the river at dawn

Send me away with the words of a love song

oh oh oh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother

She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and

Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no

ain't even grey, but she buries her baby

The sharp knife of a short life, well

I've had just enough time

If I die young bury me in satin

Lay me down on a bed of roses

Sink me in the river at dawn

Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life, well

I've had just enough time

And I'll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom

I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger

I've never known the lovin' of a man

But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand

There's a boy here in town says he'll love me forever

Who would have thought forever could be severed by

The sharp knife of a short life, well

I've had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls

What I never did is done

A penny for my thoughts, oh no I'll sell them for a dollar

They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
