The weather began to grow colder with each passing day as autumn quickly arrived. The leaves on trees that lined the city streets had slowly started to change colors, altering from their normal shades of green to shades of brown, yellow, red, and orange. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
The five band members stood in front of the studio, dressed in attire suitable for the chilly weather. Jirou had on a comfy, yellow sweater and a scarf wrapped around her neck, knit with yarn in different shades of purple. Kaminari wore a flannel shirt with a black-and-grey plaid pattern, along with a red jacket.
"Remind me why the hell we're going to some dumb pumpkin patch again?" Bakugou grumbled with a huff, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"Because Halloween is tomorrow," Kirishima responded cheerfully, "So we should all do something fun to celebrate."
"And going to a pumpkin patch is a wonderful way to enjoy autumn," Yaoyorozu added, clasping her gloved hands together. "There's even a pumpkin carving station!"
The angry blonde scowled. "Sounds boring."
"Hey, you haven't even tried it yet," Kaminari said pointedly, "Maybe you'll enjo-"
"Oh right, it will be fun," Bakugou barked, "Because I get to throw pumpkins at you, Dunce Face!"
"Why is it always me?!" He complained.
"Actually, you probably shouldn't throw the pumpkins," Kirishima suggested quickly, "We have to pay for them first."
"Tch," Bakugou spat, crossing his arms as he walked towards the van.
The others followed in good spirits, getting inside the vehicle after the angry blonde. The van was now their go-to method of transportation, with enough room to comfortably seat five people and carry their instruments if needed.
As they drove to the pumpkin patch with Kirishima's GPS loudly stating directions and Bakugou's angry cursing at anything that got in their way, Jirou plugged her earbuds in and decided to listen to music. She played a song and turned the volume up, allowing it to drown out the background noise.
"Hey Earphones," Kaminari whispered to her after a few minutes had passed.
No response.
He gently tapped her on the shoulder, causing Jirou to glance up at him. "What?" She asked, taking an earbud out of her right ear.
"What are you listening to?" He asked casually, peeking at the phone in her lap.
She plugged the earbud in her hand into his left ear. Music blasted into Kaminari's ear, causing him to jump a little in surprise before he sat still and listened. "Baby your electric love, electric love~"
"Oh hey, I love this song!" He said in surprise.
Jirou gave him a small smile in reply. "It's one of my favorites," She said quietly. For some odd reason, the song reminded her of Kaminari too.
The two of them continued to listen to songs from Jirou's phone, their attention diverted from Bakugou's angry screaming in the front passenger seat. Somehow, Kirishima was not at all bothered by this, his usual cheerful smile plastered to his face as his focus stayed on the road ahead. Yaoyorozu was trying her best to ignore the noise as she stared out the window in a stoic manner.
Kaminari gently leaned his head on Jirou's shoulder, causing her to looked at him in stunned silence. He half-expected her to push him off, but she didn't, so he proceeded to close his eyes and relax, the music playing in his ear.
Jirou's gaze lingered on him, watching as Kaminari slowly closed his eyes. God, why is he so adorable? She wondered, unable to resist bringing a hand to his hair and ruffling it softly. The corners of his lips curved upwards into a smile, an expression of content on his face.
