Unity Day

If there's one day I hate more than Valentines day, it's Unity Day. Everyone is telling each other some lie about how the Ark came to be, while we actually blew the 13th station up first.

It's also about standing together, while that is the opposite of what we actually do.

Lola is watching some stupid Unity Day speech the Chancellor is giving. Me and Octavia are in the cave, using this oppertunity to be alone.

I kiss her slowly, but passionatly. Her hands slip under my shirt, while our tongues collide. I press her against my matras. It might be a lousy matras, but she seems very comfortable.

I leave a trail of kisses down her neck and collarbone. A red mark forming underneath my touch. Her fingers go through my hair, while I work my way down her body.

But then we hear Jasper shout. "Whoo! Yeah! Monty strikes again! I call this batch Unity Juice! Who's thirsty?"

His question is followed by loud cheers. I would love to keep this going, but this is also the greatest oppertunity to sneak out.

"Why did you stop?" Octavia asks, suddenly becoming self aware.

I smirk. "I bet the guards at the gate want some of that Unity Juice too."

She easily catches on. "Let's get out of here."

I grab my backpack and follow Octavia towards the gate. When we get there, Lola is already waiting for us. She's a smart girl. "There you are. What took you two so long?"

Octavia and I smile at each other. Luckily, Lola doesn't get it. While we are flirting at each other with our eyes, she spots a white flower. "There it is!" She shouts, running towards it.

"Quiet." I whisper.

"Sorry." She whispers back.

We run through the woods, following the flowers. Then we arrive at the cave. Octavia takes a knife our of her pocket. "Let me try." She says.

Lola and I both shrug our shoulders. As we enter the cave, she sneaks up on Lincoln, who is drawing on the wall.

Lincoln does hear her and stop her, but she did better than last time. We've been sneaking out of the camp to see Lincoln. We've actually become good friends. Plus, Lola adores Lincoln.

"Better?" Octavia asks him.

"We'll make a warior out of you yet." He replies.

Lola takes this oppertunity to run upto Lincoln and jump into his arms. "Lincky!"

He spins her around. "Hey little warrior."

I really like how they all have their nicknames for Lola. I hope it makes her feel wanted. Like she has a family. I haven't known her for long, but I've started to care about her a lot.

"What are we doing today?" Lola asks.

"You mean tonight." I correct her. "It's actually way past your bedtime."

She gives me an adorable frown. "How about a board game?" Lincoln suggests.

"You grounders have board games?" Octavia asks.

"We're not cavemen." He replies.

"You're living in a cave." Lola points out.

"So do we." I reply, starting to tiggle her while Lincoln holds her up. Octavia joins and her giggles quickly fill the cave.

After Lola wins for the second time (We may have let her win), we decide to call it a night.
