Chapter 9

Lex pov....

My phone alarm went off at 6 am in the morning; it was perfect time to wake the boys up.

I got up and slipped on my marron jeans and my black knit jumper and my vans. I put my hair up into a high pony tail and slipped out of the room silently. I found the room the boys were sleeping in and decided to give them a wakeup call. “WAKE UP!” i yelled into the room, no response. In my time here i have learnt one thing, Jai loves Ariana Grande. “Oh my god it’s Ariana Gra....” i yelled into Jais face, he was up before i could finish the sentence. “Haha! That is funny” i stated. “That’s so not funny! What time was it?” he asked sitting up. “6:15am get up and get the boys up we leave at 6:30” i said walking out of the room.

The boys all walked out of the room looking like they are sleep walking. I pointed to the door and they all walked that way, pushing James back made them all go faster. “Let’s go, let’s go, we are going to miss the train, let’s go!” i ushered them all out the door and down the path way heading to the train station. We got on the 6:45am train to Melbourne central. “You got us up at 6 o’clock, we are on a train going to the city, WHY?!” Beau whined. I totally ignored that. “Got your camera Luke?” i asked him. “Y...Yeah” he said almost falling asleep. All of their heads fell to the side in deep sleep. “That’s it, all of you stand up!” i yelled at them. They stood up almost immediately. “Run” i told them. “Huh?” they questioned me. “Run down the carriage to wake up, now go go go!” They started running up and down the carriage whilst getting some weird looks from the other passengers, i started recording. This is just the start of the prank.

“Why are we doing this again?” Skip asked for the thousandth time. “For YouTube and my amusement!” i said whilst checking off my list of things we needed for this prank. We arrived at Melbourne central, and we headed for Queen Victoria markets, to buy onesies ;)

“I WANT THE UNICORN!” Jai screamed whilst sprinting towards the onesie shop. We brought 4 onesies. Jai obviously got the unicorn, Luke got a frog, skip got a beaver and beau brought a cheetah. James agreed to be the person who runs a fake charity to save the onesies.

................. 3 hours later

“That was so fun!”  Jai and Skip said in chorus as we all sat in the brooks lounge room. “Where did you get the idea Lex?” Luke questioned me. “I love onesies!” i said cheerfully. “So you made us run around Melbourne central in onesies, looking like idiots just because you love onesies?” Beau said in fake shock. “Yep” i chirped. I checked my watch and it was 12:18pm i had a part time job interview at 1pm at a sandwich shop down the road. “I’ve got to go get ready for my interview” i stood up a walked out of the room and into my borrowed bedroom and took out my white under singlet and placed a white collared sleeveless top and a pink high waisted skirt that goes just above my knee, and cream coloured platform heels. It’s not business type but i have nothing else, everything’s at home, and I’m not in the mood to go back there. I applied some light foundation, black mascara and some lip gloss. I grabbed my cream purse/bag and went to say bye to the guys. “Beau can you drive me?” i batted my eyes at him. “Isn’t it just down the road?” He didn’t take his eyes of his phone. “Yeees, but im wearing heels” i waved my heel in beaus face. “Take them off then.” He said sarcastically. “Ha-Ha now get up and take me pppllleeeaaasssee” i pleaded. “Fine!” He said standing up and walking towards the door. “We will all come and we will wait for you out front!” Jai said enthusiastically. “We will?” Skip said. “Yes we will” jai followed beau out the door and one by one skip, Luke and James did too. We all crammed into beaus 5 seater car. 4 teenage boys in a 3 seater seat will not go down well. “How about we just walk?” Luke suggested whilst being crammed in between Jai and skip. “Heels, remember?” i told Luke. “Someone carry her!” Luke said pushing his way out of the car. “Nobody..” Before i could finish Beau was lifting me out of the car and slung me over his shoulder! “BEAU PUT ME DOWN! I have a skirt on you idiot!” I yelled at beau. I kept hitting him in the back with one hand and holding my skirt down with the other. Jai, James, Luke and Skip walked behind beau so they can’t see up my skirt. “Beau, put me down!” i repeated. “No” he said in amusement.

Beau let me down and i slammed him in the chest. “Don’t do that again” i warned him. “Haha, ok” Beau assured me. “I will be out in 10/20 minutes.” They said good luck and i walked into the sandwich shop. It was small, the counter and the sandwich counter was straight ahead and metal tables were placed all around they shop.

I walked nervously into the boss’s office; it was perfectly set out, a small brown desk on the left side of the room.  Certificates and awards for the shop were placed all over the room. A small window sat right behind the desk. “Hello, Miss May, how are you today?” He asked me and gestured me to sit down. “Good thank you” i said taking a seat on a small metal chair.

Half way through the interview i was becoming more settled, when a saw out of the window, Onesie animals up against the window. I let out a little laugh. “What’s the matter?” i questioned me. “Nothing sir.” I said regaining myself again. “Well, that’s enough i will let you know soon if you have the job.” He stood up and extended his hand to me. I shook his hand a left the room. “Idiots” i walked out of the shop laughing. “You looked unconfutable so we took matters into our own paws” Beau extended his onesie paw. Jai swooped me up from behind and picked me up bridle style and started to walk home. “This is how you pick up a woman beau” i said to beau. He rolled his eyes.
