It's beautiful.
The flowers on the roadside that I passed. It's very bright colored flowers.
Pink carnation flowers. My mother used to pick it for me at the garden of our house and told me, "Look here, sweetie! This pink coloured flower expresses my love for you!"
I want to pick it up but, I have plenty at my home. I want to leave it as it be.
My name is Carnelline Beaufort. I am a 25 years old architect. I've been living apart from my parents about 3 years since I graduated from college. I live at the Northern City while my parents live at Middlemore, a village near the city I lived. Every weekend, I always come home. Knowing that my younger sister and brother will miss me, I always bring some chocolate and snacks.
My mother, named Cordellia Beaufort is a housewife. Mom always prepare our food and washed our clothes. She is the best mom. My father, named Luke Beaufort is a executives at Industrial Mining Company, a mining company. So it can be concluded that I come from a wealthy family.
My younger sister, named Ariella Beaufort is a 9 years old elementary school kid, and my brother, Kiel Beaufort is 5 years old boy with a cheerful personality. They always play with my cat and dog pet, sometimes Kiel catch bugs and such, scaring of Ariella.
Everytime I arrived at home, they always shouted, "Sis! Where's my choco?" and they always hug my legs. I really loves them very much. Like... I've never been this affectionate to other people besides my family. This really makes me feels good.
Actually, I have big brother who's one year older than me. He worked on my father's company because he graduated from Mining Engineering. His name is Ashe Beaufort. I always brag about how handsome my brother is, because he is really handsome! He live with my parents because he always go to work with my father.
Now, I'm on my way to my home. I brought some snacks and some food to eat with my family. I walked with happy smile on my face and it's really lessen all of my heavy thoughts. When I arrived at my neighborhood, I see my neighbor watering some plants and see myself walking towards my home. I greeted her while smiling, "Hello, Madam!"
"Carnelline? What are you doing?"
"Ah, I'm going home," She nodded, and then I walked to my parents house. I entered my house while taking off my shoes.
"I'm home!"
My mother popped out from kitchen, "Welcome home, dear! Ariella, Kiel! Your sister here!"
"SIS!" I heard two of my siblings shouting from the middle room, and they rushed to me while spread their tiny hands and hugged me.
"Aww, such a cutie pie!" I pat their head.
"Sis, do you bring a choco for us?" Kiel asked in cute way. I can't resist.
"Yeees... Of course. How can I forget, dear. Here is your choco, Kiel... and this is yours, Ella...," I handed them the chocolate I bought. They are screaming in joy and run towards the living room.
My mother laugh, "Look, how cute they are, right? Have you eaten yet? I cook some vegetables soup if you want. Take the bowl on the right side cabinet and don't forget to take your spoon!"
"Yes yeees... mom. I know."
I put my bags on the sofa and I walk to the kitchen. It's been a while since I eat some nice food made by my angelic mother.
Her soup is the best. I really loved how pumpkin, potatoes, carrots, and sausage mixed together. Little did I know the recipes. I tried to make one yesterday but, it's not edible. It's like a bunch of burnt leaves that piled up with some broth in it.
"Mom, it's really delicious! How did you make it?" I asked.
"Mm... just usual. Like I told you before," she answered.
"But, I can't even make it edible, mom."
My mom laugh again, "What did you put on there? Are you putting your Sansivieira plants into that?"
"Noo... I won't even sacrifice my lovely plants. Seriously mom. It tastes awful when I make it."
My mother smiled, "You just have to practice, dear. It goes same with planting some plants. You have to practice, patient, and watch until it grow. Same goes with cooking too! You need to practice! Practice makes perfect!"
Okay. Because I'm a glutton (when it comes to my mother recipes of course), I admit that I'm not that patient. Also, I didn't know how to measure spices like my mother do? It's so hard! I can't even differentiate curcuma and ginger!
"Okay, mom. I will practice. Patiently. Like you told me to."
My mother smiled, "Now, finish your lunch and help me in garden. Pink carnation flowers are blooming! Need to cut some to make it beautiful."
"Okaaay..."
I quickly finish my lunch while my mother take out all of garden tools. After that, I walked to my mother and use my gloves.
My mother walked to the garden, with full of pink carnations. I see my dog playing with Kiel and my cat is sleeping.
"Kiel, is your sister with father?" My mom asked. Kiel nodded.
"Mom, after she eat choco from Big Sis, she fall asleep in father's lap," said Kiel. How cute!
"Okay. Kiel, keep playing with Brownie, okay! I'll tend the garden first with your big sister. Be careful!" My mother said while walking.
"Yes mom!"
"Mom, is brother Ashe away again?" I asked about my brother's whereabout.
"Yes. You know he is very passionate about his band even though he is that old."
"Mom, don't forget that father likes to collect mecha figure."
"Oh yes. Actually your brother is much more better than your father."
I'm laughing. It's true that father always collect mecha figure he bought from internet. My mother always sighed and walked away while cursing my father.
"Oh dear, when will you go back again?" My mother asked
"Hmm... I think I will go back in the sunday night. I need to prepare things for work," I answered.
"Okay."
It was beautiful day, with me, my mother tending the garden. My little brother played with my dog. My father and my sister are together.
"Mom..."
"Yes, dear?"
"I love you."
My mother smiles.
"Love you too, my Carnelline."
