They found me.
I'm convinced that they'll execute me.
I was too over ambitious. I barely even started and now, I don't even know what is going to happen to me. How will mother handle everyone?
Two deaths in a row? Immediately? She would never be able to. What can I do to stop this? I can't put Ammi in so much hardship.
But... But I have to. I don't have a choice. They've captured me. I'm in the storage room and there are too many big rifles and deposed bombs.
This is so intimidating.
Wait-- wait, someones coming in.
"Where did you come from?"
"I can't tell you. You'll send me back and I can't have that. Kill me, just don't send me back. Not in this danger."
"Who are you?" He inquired.
"Who are you?" (I couldn't be sure.)
"I am the Hindu army commandant general. I was sent here because I was told that you were not listening to the other officials. This is the last straw, young lady."
"Okay, I am Hali, I'm 14 and I am being shipped off somewhere sometime. I don't know when or where but its taking to long. People in the ca-- tent are almost dead of starvation. You have to do something."
"Why did you come here? We have everything under control and it is definitely not your duty to be a 'hero', Hali"
"Well blame me for wanting to help."
"You will be sent to the tents by the morning, we'll provide you a cabin for the night, but you'll be taking a 3 hour truck ride with the officials to the dock. Be awake up and early."
The army commandant general was apparently the cheif. He was tall and had large eyes. A firm looking body and muscular shape formed him. It was difficult standing up to such a superior looking man.
That's beside the point. I didn't know what to do. Going home meant giving up, I knew that the officials would never get anything done and eventually we'd be re-evacuated right back to where we started. I had to do this.
After I got the key to my cabin, I waited around an hour and 20 minutes until the lights went off before I made a run for it. The army building was too safe as a headquarters. I had to keep moving; get some work done.
Eventually I found a place near the port where I could hide. I saw some frightening men patrolling with masks and huge guns. I couldn't go there, I would die for sure. I ended up hiding in the outside abandoned servants quarters, there was no where else to go.
I had to do it. It was now or never.
