Aphrodite.

Aphrodite was the place where you could go if you wanted to get drunk and no one judged if. It was the place where you could cry over your relationship, your cheating partner or the place to go if you wanted a random hook up. Everything was possible there, the drink was more than enough for everyone, the waitresses were all young girls with sexy outfits. This kind of strategy brought a lot of money to the owner of Aphrodite.
Anna hated the place, everything was dirty, her colleagues were mean and they hated her because everyone wanted to be served by her. She drank a coffee and put on a fake smile, eager to finish the night and return home to her bed. She was grossed by the place and the people around her. Sometimes she had to allow men to touch her legs and smile politely at them if she wanted to see a tip, but it was the only job that she could get and have time for school and her brother.

* Saturday morning *

Thomas went on the other side of the town to do his usual shopping. He fouled himself that he was bored to go to the same store but somehow he passed two times by the cemetery where he dropped Anna. He needed to see her. He was sorry for his reaction, but in the same time he was angry with hers.

One mile away from the cemetery he saw Anna and Caleb outside in a big trailer park. They both had plastic bags and they were collecting plastic bottles. He stopped the car a bit further from them and observed them. Thomas waited a few minutes before he decided to join them. Anna was shocked to see him, while Caleb was very happy and run to him to give him a hug. He was surprised by his reaction, but he hugged Caleb back and had time to watch Anna better. She was wearing short jeans, a white crop top and a cap. Her body was insane. Thomas didn't find another word to describe her. Her waist line was killing him slowly, her cleavage that he found forbidden to stare at, but his eyes did not help him was making him loose his breath, but what he loved the most were her piercing brown eyes that could freeze everything. He decided to turn his attention to Caleb.

'Are you here to help us?'

'If you tell me what I can do I will be happy to help.'

'There's no need, thank you Professor.' Anna cut their enthusiasm.

'It' s ok, from what I see you are doing a good job for the environment. '

'Yes, we also clean everything, Anna takes care of the dirt, I only collect the bottles, you can help her, she needs a man for that pile of rubbish.' Caleb informed Thomas and he couldn't help but smile when he heard that Anna needs a man. Yes, she needed a real man to calm her, he couldn't agree more. Anna was already furious and turned her back to them, but Thomas ignored her behaviour and took the bag from her hand.

'I can help you Anna.'

'What are you doing here? Did you follow us? How did you find out where we lived?'

'What do you mean where you live.' Thomas was speechless, he looked around and realised they were living in the trailer parking.

'Yes, surprise.' Anna said and pouted. 'Some people have to live here, you know. And give me back my bag, you don't need to get dirty, we can handle this.'

'It's not this, I am sorry, I was a bit shocked to be honest, don't get me wrong, it's ok to live anywhere you want. And what you do is remarkable Anna.' Thomas looked again around and saw all the garbage and people around them that didn't care and kept throwing everything, doing fires outside, hanging laundries outside, all the children playing and screaming and in that craziness it was Anna who wanted to make the whole place a cleaner and nicer one. He looked at her and smiled. She wasn't so bad after all.

Anna kept looking into his eyes, his beautiful eyes that she kept dreaming every night since she met him. His voice was so calming for her, she wanted to hate him, she wanted to revenge her car so bad, but in the same time she felt things that weren't right. She kept reminding herself that he was married, yet he kept showing up. She couldn't wait to be alone with him to give him a piece of his mind.

While they cleaned they didn't speak too much, but they did an impressive work, they cleaned almost all the place and Thomas convinced other people to join them and not to do anymore mess. He had a way to make people listen to him and Anna was pissed off again, she tried for months to convince her neighbours to help her clean around.

'It looks like it is already lunchtime.' said Thomas while he loaded the last bag in the bins.

'We have pizza leftovers from last night' Caleb said cheerfully and took Thomas by his hand to carry him inside their trailer.

'Slow down kid, Mr. Davidson can't have lunch with us, he has to go home to his wife and have lunch with her.' Anna said and Caleb instantly got sad.

'It's ok, Caleb, don't listen to your sister, I would love to have lunch with you if you don't mind. I actually have some groceries in my car, we can make a salad too.' and Anna gave up, she had to save her energy for the night shift at Aphrodite.

Thomas was surprised to find a very clean and nice decorated trailer, it didn't have much furniture, just a small bed, a couch where he imagined that Anna was sleeping, a drawer and some kitchen essentials with a small bathroom. He figured out that the parents couldn't be with them but for Caleb's sake he didn't ask. He prepared them the salad and they ate in silence, he enjoyed watching Anna eat, she seemed really tired. He promised Caleb that he was going to take him to his house the next day to play on his game station and help him with his homework, they said goodbye and he drove home. He decided to rest a bit before his next visit.

*Saturday night*

It was a busy and crowded night at Aphrodite, the girls were in a waiting line at the bar. Anna was too tired to fake a smile and she didn't even notice the people around her until she heard 2 girls arguing in front of the bar.

'I bet 100 bucks that he will take me home tonight.' Linda said and adjusted her skirt higher.

'In your dreams, he will come with me, I took his order and he already asked me my name. How can he notice you?' Anna looked  in the direction where Samantha pointed and was shocked to see Professor Davidson.

'Slow down girls. Are you talking about that guy?' and the girls noded. 'Too bad he is married.'

'How do you know?'

'Look at his hand' and for the first time the girls acknowledged his shinning ring.

'So what, it is Saturday, maybe he wants some fun.' Sam said but Anna didn't hear the rest, she was too busy studying him. Thomas's hand was shaking on the beer cup and he was looking straight at it. Anna knew she had to act. She took a glass of water from the counter and went to his table. When she put the glass on the table he lifted his eyes and saw Anna.

'Don't drink it.' she said loudly and after took a sit in front of him.

'What are you doing here?'

'I can ask you the same thing, but now please listen to me and don't do it.' his hands were shaking and he grabbed the glass of water.

'How did you know?'

'Know what?'

'This... About the drink...' Anna smiled and leaned over the table so she could whisper to him.

'We all have our sins Professor'

'What is yours?'

'I don't know... Maybe working in this place... Maybe recognising alcoholics and caring about them not to sin again.'

'So you care.' Thomas approached her even more and talked seductively in her ear. Anna panicked and she started to question him.

'Yes, I care. What the hell are you doing here? Why are you stalking me?' her mood changed in 2 seconds and she raised from the chair realising that she lost a lot of time with Thomas. 'You know what, I don't care actually, I need to work, do what you want but please stop following me and keep showing everywhere I go, it is creepy for your information.' and she went back to her other clients.
