Your head was still over the clouds when you started out for your lunch break. You decided to treat yourself to your favorite omu-rice which is being sold in a food park just a few blocks away from the cafe. You felt stupid for having to think you could get away from all the lovey dovey atmosphere from your workplace. Upon arriving, you see the food park full of them. Well not just couples, you also see a few group of boys and girls hanging out and some family enjoying their meals. You felt, you're the only one who came alone.
After you grabbed your order from the counter, you were about to settle to a vacant table when you were suddenly hit by a guy from the group of boys who decided that dancing in a food park is a fun activity.
Unlucky you.
He hit your back as he twirled and your precious omu-rice was knocked off your hands and landed on the ground.
That's just perfect! Is all you can say to yourself as you looked at the mess.
You can feel the dancing guy, who is now standing beside you, frozen and is probably thinking of what to do.
"Miss... I'm so sorry. I-I did not see you." he sincerely apologized.
"Just... Just leave me please. Just go!" you tell him, sounding harsher than you usually are. Not wanting to look at the person as you might not be able to control yourself from raising your voice much higher.
"But I really am sorry. I can buy you another one if you like." he offered. His voice was melodic, soft and almost quiet.
Feeling already weak and exhausted, you forced yourself to look at him. You were taken aback to see him smiling and it affected you in a way you did not expect because it made you felt calm and wanting to smile back at him. He was wearing a bucket hat that is almost covering his eyes which from the back of your mind, may be the reason why he did not see you in the first place.
Scanning his face, you found his eyes which looked really sincere and reminded you of a puppy. And you're weak for puppies.
"No, it's okay. I have to go back to work now anyway. I'll be late if I wait for another omu-rice to cook." you tell him, your voice now calmer.
"Are you sure? This makes me feel really guilty. And... I think I should at least buy you another or pay you or something."
You chuckled because he seems so cute and precious.
"No, really it's okay. You don't have to do that. It was an accident." you tell him while you stepped back a little not realizing some of your food is just a foot away from you.
You stepped on your omu-rice that made you slipped backwards. As you were about to lose your balance, the guy quickly put his arms around your waist and grabbed your back to keep you from falling.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he pulled back up.
You were shocked by the sudden accident and could not utter a word.
The guy is still very apologetic and could not stand still.
"Look, I would not be able to sleep tonight if I know I did not do anything to pay you back for my mistake. Soooo, how about I treat you to dinner tonight? Meet me at Jamsil Park at 7 PM." he then look at your name tag and grinned. "... Miss, Y/N."
You are still not able to say anything and just nodded to him. He touched your cheeks and smiled.
"Great! See you then." his smile became sweeter showing two small dimples just right above the corners of his lip. He waved his hands to say goodbye and ran back to his group of friends.
"My name is Hobi, by the way." he shouted as he was sprinting away.
What the hell just happened? You asked yourself.
And all of a sudden, your stomach made a noise, snapping you back to the reality that you have not eaten anything for lunch yet.
