I was sitting in the bench when someone caught my attention. Actually it was a crib with a baby inside.
I went to it before staring carefully. She is so beautiful. She has the beautiful pale skin with pinkish cheeks. Her hands was so small and adorable. Her lips is so pinkish. She has a long lashes and cute little long nose.
I looked at her for almost a minute when she open her eyes. I was shocked because her eye color was red, like a vampire. But later on I found it beautiful. It's suits her.
I can't stop myself for touching her so I picked her up before swaying her in my arms.
She's sleeping peacefully in my arms when someone stood besides me.
He's so tall. I can't even look at him straight. I can't see his face because it was covered with his long hair.
"I know you saw something." He said using his tone voice in husky. Not so loud and not too raspy.
"Something?" I asked while looking at the baby in my arms. Surprisingly, she did not even wake up.
"I know you see her eyes." He lean to me even more before caressing the baby's forehead to cheeks down to her hands and hold it so gentle.
"Aren't you scared?" He asked. I know he's looking into my eyes. But I can't see anything but only his hair that covered with his face only. I shook my head as an answer. He leave by my side and sat in the couch in front of the crib.
"No, Its look so beautiful to her." I said honestly, I wonder where she had those eyes. Where could she ca be inherited from?
"It's me." I looked at him in shocked.
I didn't tell anything at him.
"I can hear your mind." I was about to put the baby back to the crib when he spoke up.
"Why? Are you tired?" I shake my head before putting her in my arms again and sat beside him.
"You looks so familiar to me, Mr." I looked at him then looked back at the baby who is now snoring gently. She's making soft snores.
He just smiled at me. He combed his hair sidewards that's why I saw his eyes. Just like the baby, He has the same eye color.
"Can't you remember anything?" He said before taking the child away from me.
I looked at him blankly before started to talk again.
"Remember, what?" I can't remember anything. I just remembered when I sat outside in the bench before looking this newborn baby.
It's just amazing because there are people who saw me but they couldn't even notice me. So it was very easy for me to get in here even though I knew it was not allowed and I could be charged with trespassing by the man in front of me.
"Why would I sue you?" I can't see any coldness in his eyes. He should be shouting on me because I entered his house without permission and carrying his child without his consent.
"Why would I shout on you?" I was wondering but I did not let him notice. Maybe he's just a mind reader so he can do that. He cannot be a vampire because there is no such thing today. It is foolish to believe that.
"So you're a fool?" I was surprised by what he said.
"How could you say that words to me?" I was fuming mad when he stood and approached the table before taking the photo album then handed it to me.
It was a compilation of pictures of him and a woman. All of that content was just pictures of him and the woman who was very familiar to me. The girl, It was me!
"Yes. It's you." He confirmed.
"How could it happened? I mean, Is this true?" He nodded before kissing the baby's forehead and looked back at me. Directly to my eyes. I can vividly see his eyes. It's so familiar. It feels like I always wanted to see it everyday.
"You're my wife. But you died weeks ago." He hold my hand. Before whispered to me softly.
"You died of giving birth to our baby."
"You couldn't continue giving birth. So, you died while in the middle of the processing to release the baby. They have no choice but to release the baby quickly. They even not able to do anything just to revive you."
"But how could be this possible for me to carry the baby as if like I'm alive? I'm a ghost! That's why the people outside didn't put any glanced on me because I'm a dead person? I'm a ghost?" He nodded.
"But why I can't remember you? You and the baby. I can't even remember your name." If I'm alive. I'm crying right now. But I can't. Even small tears can't escape from my eyes.
"Because you can't carry your memories with a vampire like me. You can't bring our memories together in the afterlife. You will have a hard time living after you live again as someone else in your next life."
"I would rather you to forget us than suffering in your next life. I can't imagine that you are suffering just because of me. I just can't let you to get through in pain and suffering. I love you so much that I can't even forgive myself after you lost your life because of bringing this child of mine. You are precious to me, so much." He is now crying. There's a feelings inside that I can't stand seeing him in pain.
"Hush now, Don't cry. Thank you for doing this to me. But you need to forget and move on. Please take care of this child like you did to me. Do it more. Don't loose your hope. Maybe, In my next life I will see you and I hope that I still can be with you forever in that time. I maybe can't remember anything but always remember I will always love you until I die and Born again. I will always find you." I kissed the baby or should I say my baby. Before kissing him in his forehead and next to his lips. I kissed him slowly and gently.
"I love you." We both said between in our kisses. Seconds passed I feel my body slowly disappearing. As the time he closed his eyes, I am slowly disappearing into space along with the breeze.
