"Mark hyung!" Chenle called out but Donghyuck just stood there. Mark was no different, returning the gaze to whom he really came for.

What seems like a minute, Chenle called him in. Renjun being observant, noticed the slight quivering of Donghyuck's lips. Though he had thoughts of different reasons why, his mind came up with them in an argument but he felt something.. more. Something that later would be a test to their friendships.

"Are you two arguing again?" Renjun felt relieved when Chenle spoke what Renjun had in curiosity.

The other members then noticed. They anticipated for an answer while the two felt like on a hot seat.

"Yeah, it is rather, a petty argument. Why I came and hope for a talk." Donghyuck could only act but his insides were twisting.

"We'll leave you two then." The members stood up following Renjun who left.

even being left alone, Donghyuck went to his room to make sure with Mark following him.

"What is it?" he stood with confidence. Donghyuck wouldn't show his vulnerability especially in situations where he knew he will lose and get hurt.

Mark on the other hand is filled with confusion. He did remember everything.

"you know it's wrong, right?" a jerk he is, but Donghyuck knows he'a also right.

"I know, that's why forget what I said. Didn't want to taint our friendship with that bullshit." finally, he looked directly at Mark.

"forget what you said? Do you think that's easy? You know it won't be the same anymore!" this is where he hit the nerve.

"Oh I'M SORRY FOR FEELING THIS THEN. I'M SORRY BECAUSE YOU GAVE MIX SIGNALS WHERE YOU KNOW DAMN WELL, FRIENDS DON'T KISS EACH OTHER." Donghyuck was shaking with anger.

"That's not what I meant! I AM BECOMING CONFUSED MYSELF. That's why I wanted us to talk. I wanted to know why is it me you have fallen in love?"

they were caught up in the argument they didn't care they were shouting and the walls aren't soundproof. Probably leaving the living room didn't make a difference.

"WHY? I DON'T KNOW, ASK MY GODDAMN HEART WHY IT BEATS FOR YOU. and Is it weird for you? That if we try to fix our friendship, you won't think how disgusting I am?"

even Mark looks tired and stressed out. After all, he had just gone through a break up and suddenly his best friend confessed to him.

but before Mark could even speak, Donghyuck continued,

"and yes, I know exactly how you just had gone through a break up that's why I am guilty of confusing you with my feelings that aren't even meant to be confessed! So I'm asking you to please forget it and I'm okay with us not being touchy, because as much as possible, I don't want to ruin this friendship we had"

with eyes closed in frustration, Mark nodded.

"I-I'm sorry.." Mark looked at him and finally dashed out of the room. He's still confused yet it seems like a wrong move.

Was he sorry because he really can't be friends with me anymore?

now Donghyuck's tearing up again, in frustration.

you don't expect for the others to not be quiet after hearing the fight, do you? Because as soon as then, Renjun barge in.

"why didn't you tell us?" Renjun hoped for an answer. They were all in state of shock.

"You were in the stage of confession already yet we still didn't know?" Donghyuck stood up.

"and for what? for you all to despise me? for all of you to treat me different?" but what's the point, they already knew.

"so you were saying, with all the years of our friendship, YOU DIDN'T TRUST US ENOUGH? WE COULDVE HELPED YOU!" the members watching felt the tension. Jeno was also shocked and was a bit weirded out by Haechan.

this is the reality after all.

"You know damn well how the society is!"

"WE ARE NOT LIKE THE SOCIETY! WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS!" Renjun was now crying,

"we're not disgusted neither mad at you for being gay but damn, we were mad at the fact that you didn't trust us. you didn't trust us enough!" Donghyuck felt guilty but he had a hint of happiness.

"hyung, I know even I was weirded out by you know, gays.. but it's you, we had been a family already." Jisung quietly spoke up which made Donghyuck even break down more.

"I admit, I need some time to accept this but, know that I am still here for you.." now Jeno was the one to tell what he felt. Donghyuck nodded "I understand.."

"I also accept you hyuck, no matter what you are, you're still sassy anyway." Jaemin smiled in reassurance.

"sorry hyung.. it's just that we felt betrayed but we know where you're coming from. We're always here hyung, we love you." Chenle, who also accept his hyung no matter what, assured Haechan.

"I-I'm so sorry.. If I have known-- I'm sorry" Donghyuck cried out. Renjun couldn't resist either and decided to hug Haechan.

"damn you look ugly as fuck. Jeno.. please buy him a bucket of ice cream and us too" Jeno who likes the idea of ice cream agreed.
