Just My Luck

Jamsil Park, 7 PM

Jamsil park was just a few blocks away from the café so you arrived in no time. As you were being led by Namjoon towards the covered area of the park where a convenience store is, you saw Taehyung standing outside, looking at the road.

Why is he here? You thought for a second.

And as you walked closer to the store, you saw Yoongi and Jung Kook sitting around a table.

And afterwards, Jimin, Jin, and Hobi walked out the door of the store with ice cream on their hands.

"Good! Looks like they're all here." You heard Namjoon whispered to you.

What the hell is going on?

Flashback to the day before Valentines.

Taehyung, Yoongi, Jin, Jung Kook, Jimin, Namjoon and Hobi are all living together.

They are lounging inside their house after getting home from their dance practice.

"Guys, do you notice how busy we are these days that we don't get to date anymore?" Jin asked.

"I don't even know how to approach a girl anymore." Hobi said.

"What do you mean? Did you EVER approach a girl before?" Namjoon snickered.

Hobi threw a pillow at his friend.
"Speak for yourself!"

"I think I can easily ask a girl out if I want.", Jung Kook said softly while he was munching on some chips and watching a movie on the TV.

"You're saying that you can approach a girl and ask her out without any problem?" Jimin clarified.

"Yeah" Jung Kook answered with full confidence.

"No one can easily ask a girl out better than me, okay?!"Yoongi interjected, looking cocky with his statement.

"I smell a bet." Taehyung commented.

"Since tomorrow is Valentines' day, how about each of us get a date?" Jin proposed.

"That cheesy but.... I'm in! Whoever doesn't have a date will have to pay for the dinner!" Jung Kook said, his eyes showing his competitiveness.

"Call!" Namjoon and Hobi chided.

"Alright, let's all meet tomorrow at Jamsil Park, 7 PM with our dates." JB concluded.

"Yah, Jung Kook-ah! Are you sure you're up for this? You sure you're not gonna freeze in front of a girl after asking her out?" Jimin looked up at Jung Kook sitting comfortably on the sofa.

"No, I will not! Just wait and see. You on the other hand I'm worried about." Jung Kook snickered at his hyung.

"What?! I have no problems talking with girls, thank you very much!" Jimin defended.

"Yes, no problem talking with them, just them having problems talking with you." Yoongi interjected laughing at Jimin.

Jimin gave him a you're dead look.

"Want me to give you some pointers Chimmy?" Namjoon offered while also giggling from what Yoongi said.

"I'm fine! I got JAMS!!!" Jimin screamed out as he stood up and stomped his feet to the floor.

Back to present time, you arrived at the table in front of the store with Namjoon.

"Guys, this is...." Namjoon was about to introduce you.

"Y/N" all the boys said your name in chorus.

"Wait, you all know her?" Namjoon asked.

"She's my date." Yoongi answered.

"No, she's my date. In exchange for the coffee she spilled." Jung Kook said.

"No... she's my date. I have to pay her for the meal I ruined." Hobi said.

"No-no! She's MY date. I have to pay her for the ramen I stole." Jin said.

"No, I'm the one who asked her to meet me here." Jimin said.

And then everyone turned to Taehyung, waiting for him to speak.

"I... just wanted to meet her here because I saw this receipt she left with a note at the back." And he raised the receipt to show them.

"That's mine!" Jin exclaimed and grabbed the receipt away from him.

"So, that means... Taehyung is the loser!" Namjoon exclaimed and they all laughed!

Taehyung noticed you haven't spoken anything.
"Guys, why don't we just ask Y/N who her real date for tonight is."

And with that everyone looked at you, waiting for your answer.
