Flashback:
"Mommy! Look!" A younger Lisa skipped happily to her mother, cheeks rosy and a smile so wide as she held a pink letter tightly to her chest. Her heart never fluttered this way and she really, really liked the feeling. Her mother placed the Bible she was reading down onto her lap,
"What is it dear?" She asked, smiling and loving the way her daughters eyes glowed in happiness. Lisa giggled before handing the paper to her mother,
"Look what my friend gave me!" Her mother took the note, skimming the letter when her brows suddenly creased.
'Dear Lisa, I like you.'
"This is from which friend?" She asked, her lips grinning falsely but Lisa didn't pay too much attention to it. She felt way too giddy.
"Sorn!"
Her mother chuckled, shaking her head and crumbling the paper in her hands. Lisa gasped,
"What're you doing?" Her mother smiled before handing the crumpled paper back into Lisa's small hands,
"Throw this away okay?"
Lisa frowned, "Why mommy?"
"Because it's wrong. You're not gay Lisa."
"Jennie?" Lisa called out from beside the brunette who was happily eating her ice cream. Jennie looked over with a smile so bright that it took Lisa's breath away for a quick moment.
"Yeah?" Jennie scooted closer, placing her cup down to her side when she noticed an odd look in Lisa's eyes. She was smiling softly as she lifted her hand to filter her fingers through Lisa's hair, placing the strands behind her ear and skimming her thumb against the shell of her ear, "What's wrong?"
Lisa sighed, closing her eyes and shivering with each caress of Jennie's gentle touch, "I'm sorry." She felt Jennie scooting even closer till their thighs were pressed together and till she could smell her sweet scent.
"What're you sorry about?" The question came out in a soft hush and Lisa couldn't help but face Jennie's sparkling eyes. So beautiful, she thought as she leaned closer and pressed her lips onto Jennie's smile. Jennie giggled as Lisa pulled away,
"If you're sorry about that then, none taken."
Lisa laughed, resting her forehead against Jennie's shoulder, "I'll never be sorry about that," she pressed her lips on Jennie's shoulder before lifting her head back up and smiling softly, "I'm sorry for saying that you liking me was wrong. It was never wrong and it will never be wrong."
Jennie smiled, placing her hands on Lisa's cheek. Her thumb caressed the brief blush on her skin and Lisa smiled because Jennie was staring at her as if she was her whole world. And when Jennie kissed her, whispering I love you on her lips, Lisa knew...
She was finally loving freely.
