Hatsume stepped up to the platform, staring determinately at her near emotionless opponent. Her goal wasn't to win, it was just to show that she could. She stepped forward, her bulky boots banging against the ground heavily while also seeming to be light on her feet.

Present Mic gave them the go ahead to start fighting and a stream of ice immediately shot out from Todoroki's foot and attempted to encase Hatsume. The attachments on her waist activated without her having to tell them to, unleashing long, sturdy metal poles that shot her away from the threatening ice.

Todoroki tried again, sending a chunk of ice straight through the air, aiming for the machines on Hatsume's waist. Hatsume was fast enough to respond to the action, moving out of the way and through the air via her metal waist extensions.

Todoroki shot a frustrated glance at Hatsume's gear, shooting another current of ice for her. The ice shot through the air, aiming directly for her attachments. The ice would have hit the center of her creation, had the 360 protection gear not have moved her out of the way.

As Todoroki was preparing to attack again with his ice, trying to figure out different ways of attacking that would have a more successful outcome, he realized another way to immobilize Hatsume and or destroy her creations.

He moved in close, preying on the fact that she was most likely not paying him any mind, trusting her appendages to do all the work for her. Todoroki moved in close and shot a current of ice at Hatsume. Her Inventions did their job, shooting the girl away from her opponent and out of the way of his ice. As she shot into the air, away from Todoroki, he reached forward quickly, fingertips brushing over the toe of her boot before she was out of her reach.

It was only a small touch, but it did it's job. The ice spread, wrapping around the toe of the shoe and moving inward, freezing tendrils worming their way through crevices and between gaps in the creation. Icy streams gripped the invention; they moved through every divot in the device, ruining it and making it useless. The frozen object clung to Hatsume's foot before splitting, cracking in uneven pieces and falling to the ground.

Hatsume looked down, her she expression aghast as the realization that her creation was destroyed. She raised her head and  glared at Todoroki. If looks could kill, he would be dead on the ground right now. As it was, that couldn't happen, so her anger was nothing more than a minor inconvenience to him.

Hatsume locked her eyes on his right arm, shooting a rope out of one of her extensions and attempting to capture him starting with the limb he used most. As it was, the rope was on a trajectory perfect for Todoroki to encase in his ice before it even touched him.

As he watched the ice covered article fall to the ground, Todoroki realized what he had to do to win the battle. He moved in close and attempted to grasp Hatsume's gear. Her waist extensions shot her away, and he figured they'd probably be the first to go.

He got in close once again, banking on the fact that she wasn't paying him any mind and was instead letting her creations do all the work for her. He reached forward quickly, not quick enough to grab her, but quick enough for him to reach up, aiming for her waist extension.

He grazed the metal surface with his frosty fingertips, the extension instantly freezing as a thin layer of frost spread across the surface. The ice kept going, piercing the object and covering it in ice until Hatsume was frantic, scrambling to get the freezing object off of her. She quieted herself as she reached across the icy surface of the metal, the cold seeping into her skin and burning her, the feeling in stark contrast to the ice running over the object. She found her target, a small click sounding as the ice covered thing fell to the dirt with a clunk.

She looked up at Todoroki, seemingly have regained her composure enough to glare daggers seemingly into the deaths of his eyes. They both knew that she could do nothing more to win this match, so she turned around and stalked away. Midnight called it, Hatsume was out of bounds, Todoroki won. The crowd gave a half-hearted cheer, thoroughly and obviously bored at such an uneventful match.
