I jolted awake with a sharp breath as I struggled to move but was restricted.

Looking down, my ankles and wrists were clamped to some sort of table-like contraption that propped me upwards, I believe the Sith called it the torture table... Again I struggled to break free but eventually gave into the cold metals grip.

How did I get here?

The last thing I remembered was being electrocuted by one of the masked men's deadly electric staffs, then everything went black.

My body ached, my muscles were stiff and bruises battered across my skin. After examining my close proximity surroundings, I looked up to get a greater view of the room I was being held in.

I lifted my head warily and jumped as I noticed Anakin opposite me, his head slumped against his chest, he was locked in the same contraption as me, only he hadn't come to yet.

We were placed about 5 metres apart in a dim, obsidian, circular room. The most exciting thing about this place was the one, singular light that hung from the ceiling.

"Anakin psst" I whisper-yelled, trying wake him without catching the attention of any other unwanted listeners.

He let out an achy whine of pain and coughed as he lifted his head sluggishly, looking around for a second exactly like I just had, then he saw me.

His confused and dazed expression suddenly snapped into concern "(y/n), oh my god, are you ok?"

"yes, yes I'm fine"

"what's going on? where's Kayla?"

Oh sh-

"KAYLA, oh my- I forgot about her, I have no idea where she is. Lets just hope she didn't get caught too"

A few seconds passed as he looked down at his restraints in frustration then back up at me.

"Are you afraid?" he asked.

I wasn't really expecting a question like that from him but I still responded all the same, "depends what palatine's got planned, if he was just going to throw us in a cell together then no, at least I'd have you" I said smiling weakly "but knowing him, it's never that simple so...to answer your question honestly...yes, a little"

No ever said Jedi couldn't feel fear and I wasn't ashamed to admit it. This whole situation was bloody terrifying.

Yet, I couldn't hold back a burst of laughter as I shook my head.

"well I'm glad you're enjoying this" a puzzled look crossed his face.

"I'm not, I'm not but...of course only days after our wedding would we end up here, I mean what else? the universe would never allow more than a few days of happiness, noooo. Back to the trauma we go!"

It was almost getting ridiculous how bad my luck was.

Anakin wasn't laughing though, he was more tense about the situation at hand. Noticing his expression, I went quiet.

"It's going to be okay though" Anakin was facing away from me as I spoke "hey? Anakin" he finally turned to look at me "I'm right here"

The first smile I'd seen since we'd gotten in here lifted onto his face, It was sad, yet sincere.

"I'm right here" I repeated.

It was then a door whooshed open, in stepped two empire guards who placed themselves either side of the entrance to then allow the emperor to walk in.

"Ahhhh, you're both awake. That will make this more fun" he cackled

"Whatever you're planning Palpatine, it's not going to work" Anakin hissed, writhing under the restraints that held him back from gripping his hands around the mans throat.
