I finally finished packing and was all ready to set off to meet the Weasley's at Diagon Alley. I hadn't been able to spend this summer with them at the Burrow as they had won the galleon draw and visited Bill in Egypt. Instead, we would all be meeting at Diagon Alley and staying at the Leaky Cauldron for a night and making our way to King's Cross Station together from there.

I ran down the stairs and said my goodbyes to my aunt. Although she was a muggle, her fireplace was connected to the floo network. She got it connected when I was 8 so I could visit my Uncle Remus.

I grabbed a handful of floo powder and stood in the fireplace. "Be safe!" she called as I yelled my location. Green flames engulfed me and I appeared at The Leaky Cauldron. I dropped off my luggage there and then used the floo network to get to Diagon Alley.

The Weasley's decided to meet me here whilst doing their yearly Hogwarts shopping. I walked along the cobbled street, keeping an eye out for any red heads. It was packed with the most fascinating wizarding shops. Of course, there were only a few shops which really fascinated me, one being 'Quality Quidditch Supplies'.

Curious to know what the crowd outside were huddling about, I edged my way to the front, passing all the excited and squealing witches and wizards. Upon arriving at the front, my eyes glimpsed at the newly erected podium, on which was mounted the most magnificent and perfect looking broom I had ever seen.

"Just come out - prototype!" a young boy with his friends yelled.

"Dad just look at it!" another young boy squealed to his father, grabbing his arm and pulling him to the sight. "It's the fastest broom in the world!"

I studied the broom, starting at the raggedy brushed tail twigs and finishing at the glossy handle. A small label hung from the end which read 'The Firebolt'. I admired the broom but decided not to buy it, I already had a good enough broom which had helped me win plenty of quidditch games.

I continued to make my way past the brightly coloured businesses until I found the Apothecary to replenish my store of potion ingredients. I got new robes at 'Madam Malkin's Robes For All Occasions' and bought my needed books at Flourish and Blotts Bookseller.

Just after purchasing, a dark haired boy caught my eye, "Harry!".

The boy who was previously shopping turned his attention to me, "Y/n!". We hugged one another.

I've grown super close to Harry. We met in his first year of Hogwarts but I knew his parents.. sort of. I was only a baby but I do have some faint memories of them. Uncle Remus told me that they helped my father take care of me after my mother passed. I've taken Harry under my wing, he's like my little brother.

"Haven't been getting into any trouble have we?" I asked, knowing exactly what he had done to his aunt only a few weeks ago.

"Erm.. umm-" Harry mumbled and fidgeted with his fingers.

"The old prune deserved it anyways, she shouldn't have talked about your father like that!" I whispered to him. "Don't tell Molly I said that!". Harry snickered at my remark.

Just then, we heard Ron and Hermione entering the shop, and to nobody's surprise, they were arguing.

"Will you two ever stop?" Harry sighed at the sight. The two stopped bickering and turned towards harry and I, their faces lighting up.
